you werent kidding; it is alittle bit different now. Im finally here, and just a couplemiles from all the stuff in this video. Thanks again for putting this up!!!
I just watched the video i was on abunch of the scenes i was stationed in the green zone from June 2003 to June 2004 the car bomb on the 14th of July bridge check point killed a really good guy that worked for us i was one of the MP's at Camp Purgatory near the tall bathist party building i was always wondering who zoomed past me in the yellow Dodge durango. I was sad to see the green zone Wal-Mart got blowed up and the cafe.
this really gives me the best understanding as too what to expect. i have all paperwork in and just waiting on my physical and passport...Thank you for sharing your expierences.
This will give you some idea, but things have changed a lot since this video was made. All of our rigs are american built now. The war side of it has scaled down a lot. It's still a good experience though.
Breathless action and complex intrigue, The pacing was strong, the casting was perfect, very good movie...I am grateful I found this movie streaming and it is free at
Pull the troops out or stay at the bases until they sort out the mess themselves. Do not add blame by entering the mix. KEEP Put until they beg you for assistance.
I just left the IZ...SUCKS now....used to be relatively cheesy duty...it just sucks now....the were supposed to close the CSH on the 15th...dont get hurt if u go there!!!!
hello first off amazing video!!! second if i may...i received word that i got job for contract firefighting in iraq through wsi...my question is how is it over there? and also what would you recommend me to pack? i heard to pack light but i want to make sure i have everything i need are there stores on base? i leave at the end of july for houston then to india and iraq from there
I'm going to give the Baghdad fire department credit for being over there in danger and still have passion to fight fires. Anyone know what branch firefighters they are? Army or Air Force?
2Feb08 "The number of suicides committed in the U.S. Army continues to grow. As many as 121 servicemen committed suicide in 2007, which marked the increase of more than 20 percent as opposed to 2006." WHY??
Dano...GREAT VID! How did you get that gig? I'm a longtime FF/medic and I can see myself there. Lotsa fires...lotsa action...sounds like a good place to be. Contact me if you have a mind to. Thanks, take care.
If your still over there,Stay safe. My father was in the New Zealand fire service for sixteen years. A hazardous enough job let alone without rockets, suicide bombers, and AK 47 toting insurgents!
Thanks for the great video! My best friend is A.C. at Al-Hillah. He tells me about stuff over there, but seeing your pix really helps me visualize it. Thanks!
Very great video and many respects to you and the many other brothers that are over there right now risking there lives to make a country better. Also what is the 2nd song in this vid, i love it goes good with it
1st, Scotdoc, haa ha you're such a tool...since nothing Bush says ever happens anyway, why bother? Think anyone over here cares?
Dano! good fucking video! I like the way you put it togather. but whats with the random non-Greenzone and non-firedept pix scattered in there? And that controlled det pic in the middle of the Haji market kaboom?
Why is the war still going on??? President Bush is feeling the heat!.."Under intense pressure to change course, the President on Tuesday rejected suggestions Iraq has fallen into civil war and vowed not to pull U.S. troops out "until the mission is complete."
pretty eerie to see these images while listening to the words being sung: "am i part of the cure, or am i part of the disease..." I hope you guys know that irrespective of the overall efficacy of this Iraq war, you guys are making differences in people's lives. awesome. thanks and stay safe
wow. just an amazing video. The video of the car bombing makes your heart stop for a second, especially with all the PED's running rampid. Thank you for what you, and everyone else does.
Wow great video, you guys are also the heros over there, we think we have it rough here in Canada at our nice firehouses, man..take care and stay safe!! From a sister Firefighter.

People who lived in the green zone have no idea what it was like out there and what terror and horror the Americans brought to Iraq.

@KombiPode
That's a pretty ignorant and stupid thing to say....You obviously don't know anything about the Green Zone or it's residents.

Nail the green zone!
Someone should sell the iraqis about 50,000 heavy mortas so they can wipe the green zone off the face of the plaent.
