Noodley darling, I think you may be slightly incorrect about this dear heart. I believe Labelle DID work with Gamble and Huff when the girls recorded Laura Nyro's "Gonna Take a Miracle" album. It was also during that time Gamble and Huff gave Labelle a new song, one you may know called "If You Don't Know Me By Now." Labelle didn't record the song for whatever reason, and G&H gave the song instead to Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. The rest, as they say, is history.
The group Labelle did work with Gamble and Huff before. Gamble and Huff produced the Laura Nero and Labelle album. Get it together my Labelle brothers and sisters.
Come on now!! I was already corrected on that, my friend! I admit I didn't realize that album was produced by Gamble and Huff--but I don't really see that record as a Labelle record per se.
"Are you for Obama or McCain?" ... wow ... LOL!

This interview sounds like listening to my Aunts on speaker phone. It's like, "Who is saying what?" Someone used the 'F-word,' but they apologized.
I'm very happy to hear that there may be more music made. That puts some hope my heart.
Peace~~~

Labelle never worked with Gamble and Huff. Patti did during her solo career

Patti has worked with Gamble and Huff during her solo career...The entire "Im In Loved Again" CD was produced by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff duh!

Read my second sentence again.
Noodleydoo 3 years ago
Thats a sentence fragment!
marfulton 3 years ago
But you are right...Labelle as a group never worked with Gamble and Huff!
marfulton 3 years ago
Well it has a subject and a verb so technically it isn't a fragment, but it certainly was crappy writing. Let me try it again:
Labelle, the group, never worked with Gamble and Huff--although Patti did during her stint with Philly International Records.
