According to IMDB, this version of the film with music by the Alloy Orchestra follows the written instructions from the director, Dziga Vertov. The Alloy music is in my opinion much more in sync with the images and style of the film than the jazz version. Here, when the music gets going, it is at times
He was just way way ahead of his time. He pretty much came up with most of the camera techniques we use today all at once. Split screen, following people with the camera instead of a static point of view, transposing two imges on top of each other, fast forward and reversing the film to achieve certain effects etc... He was a genius for his time
