@cbradley00 believe it or not the original. heres some of the wiki to save you the time... "(There's) Always Something There to Remind Me" is a song written in the 1960s by songwriting team Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Dionne Warwick made the original demo recording of the tune in 1963.
all saints is 1 of the most successful girl band during their era they thought on that era how their band was loved so they became very confident thought their fans was still around them so they just keep releasing without a better perspective. i love all saints i hope they come back, ill give my full support
their 2007 comeback gotten a wrong idea for releasing album they refer on old fan base it should be the new fan base, only rocksteady got a success unfortunately chick-fit failed to be charted, tsk tsk tsk they shouldn't have release chick-fit through digital promotion! it could've a formal release..
guys let's support all saints when they come back, the studio 1 album was 1 of the great album that they has made but suddenly the album was failed to impress world because of the ignorance of the music industry today,
can you sing? don't judge if you can't... the lead singer of allsaints is shaznay lewis the woman who vocal this song is natalie appleton the backing singer of the band, she vocal the song cause her voice is in low pitch and the song goes on the lower notes and it fits on her
I've not heard any of their other works, but on this particular song their delivery just wasn't there. The peformance was more like it was done at a high school pep rally by inexperienced teenaged vocalists who where just there to go through the motions and get off stage as quickly as possible. It was void of the emotion that the very lyrics of this song contain so much of. Kind of reminded me of one of those horribly butchered cover songs done by the piano singer from Ally McBeal.
I'm sorry, but they may be great in their own genre. There is no feeling and passion in this song. It's like singstar or something. Lvoely song, bollocks effort. But that's just my opinion, so don't get angry if it differs to yours - everyone has different taste.
All Saints did a great job on it. Love the lead singer's voice on it. When they harmonize, it's just a dif spin on what we're familiar with, but still very good.
Lighten up, kids. These girls do a credible job of the song. They could have done it like Mariah Carey would do it... you know, up and down the scale twenty or thirty times after a few seconds. As it is, they sing reasonably well. I like it.
There's basically only one Burt Bacharach arrangement, which either you like or you don't. I admit I don't.
But I think the mark of a well-written song is that it stands up to different interpretations, and since the Naked Eyes cover turned out so well, I must give proper respect to ol' Bouncing-Brass Burt.
If I had to pick a bouncing-brass version, it'd be this one (still only my 3rd fave); the Nairobi Sisters' reggae cover is probably my 2nd fave; and it's Naked Eyes FTW !!!
@thegrammarfairy well i guess "Bouncing-Brass Burt" does deserve proper respect after all he is the best composer of the last 50 years, possibly of the last hundred.
@GuitarMan1117a -- Serious qn: how ya figure? You're saying Burt Bacharach is better than Lennon-McCartney, Brian Wilson, Michael Jackson, Elton John/Bernie Taupin, Dylan, Randy Newman, Barry Manilow, Holland/Dozier/Holland, etc ., and maybe even George & Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, and Frank Loesser. That's some pretty stiff competition. I'm genuinely interested in your reasons.
@thegrammarfairy I believe Bacharach is best just based on the large number of excellant songs he has written. I think he was written well over 100 excellent songs, and since Ive only heard half his catalog of 600 songs, the number may be well over 200. I dont know much of Porter, Berlin,Loesser, but the only McCartney has a similar number of great songs, Lennon is behind, the others are well behind. If you can name even 50 great songs by the others you list i would be surprised.
@thegrammarfairy If you can list 100 or even 50 excellent songs by BW, MJ, EJ, Dylan, RN, BM, HDH, G&IG, I would be surprised. I'll be glad to go song by song if you want lol.
I've counted, from various sources, about 113 songs by Michael Jackson (excluding writing credits on incidental music, TV themes, and songs that sample his work). That's not comparable to Bacharach in total output, although if you compared chart singles he might be in the same league.
I just don't think anyone has taken their place. They've always been the right side of credible, the right side of cool and I think so long as they deliver the right record you can't really go wrong."
Omg I was lookin for this song last year on here. I bought war of nerves just to get this song lol. Shame All Saints couldn't make a come back like Take That. I loved them and still do.

You so right. They are so darned happy and it is not a song about being happy. The up-tempo horns make it into a near parody of the original lyrics, and both the Pozo-Seco Singers version and Naked Eyes.
Ummm... that woman can't match pitch very well. And what she lacks in intonation she does not make up for in style or interpretation. She's not very good.
I wish Dionne could have done that one that night! That would have been great! I know she did the medley, did that great, she should change it up a bit! Oh well, this wasn't a total waste of a performance.
