  • the size is amazing!!

  • wow, that must be doing at least 5 rounds per second!

awesome, i have got to go there

  • I try not to miss a thing.,I know this engine is a replica, but I was trying to ascertain wether it was made from wood (mock up) or metal, from further study it is made from metal, apparently it doesnt steam, but I cant see why it wouldnt, with work. Who goes to all the hard work of making a metal replica if it could never be steamed? Not me!!

  • Agreed.

  • @silver760 I was in Bristol at the time it was being constructed:

The parts are metal, but hollow to reduce weight. The ship is not afloat, any masses in the hull will bend it. For the same reasons the guns on the Victory are leighweight wooden replicas as well.

  • @silver760 I saw the engine being made in the 1990s: It is either cast aluminium or sheet metal and therefore hollow ( the huge cranks if I remember it correctly.

  • anyonelse spot the rat at 0.33 secs ?

  • yeah i can see it think its a mouse

  • 33 sec's centre bottom of the frame, thing is i also notice a reflection at around 10 secs of a dangling lens cover in the perspex screen between camera and engine and it has the same characteritics to the "mouse",though the mouse seems more defined,we'll never know!Good house for a mouse though.

  • 25 secs upper right you see the dangling lens cover

  • Actually .34 secs but good eyes finding the little vermin.
