In Korea, if you speak out, not only can you be sent to a labour camp, but your extended family can too, under some circumstances. Nonetheless, there have been isolated protests and acts of resistance - anti-Kim graffiti, vandalism of government symbols, riots, etc. The authorities are harsh in dealing with these. Also, the lack of resources like gas and information would make revolution very hard.
