  • Aesthetically nice and simple. But for back pain sufferers this style looks a little risky.

  • its WAY prettier over those blue barrels..and i didnt think of the toxin part in the plastic... it just looks so nice bein' natural...

  • If you live near a wine growing area, contact wineries in your area & ask if you can purchase a few used barrels. Whiskey barrels are charred on the inside, but are just as good..

    Whole barrels also make great rain barrels, and half barrels are excellent for container growing.

    Sold online or at some garden centers, they cost more, but are worth it to avoid the toxins in plastics. WIne & whiskey barrels are made of white oak, which is naturally water and rot resistant.

  • Where do you get an old barrel? I love this! I'd like the wood over plastic, as we use no plastics.
