Roy, quick question. Sometimes, I pick up radar from maybe 1/4-1/2 mile away with my 9500ix, but then other times (usually when they are camping) I don't detect them until I'm almost right up on them. For example, on two different occasions, I saw the police cars camping long before my 9500ix ever went off, and they were only maybe 200-300 feet or so away! Why is this? And what can I do about it? I always have my sensitivity set to Highway, but this has happened when it's set on Auto as well.
@IXScroungerXI Cannot post links here but if you go to my site at radardetector-org and go to the FAQ area have a whole page that will answer this question
This is helpful. Thank you. Do you need to pass the opening door 3x heading in the same direction for the unit to "learn" to read it as a false alarm or can you go back and forth?
Yes, 9500ix saved me from speed tickets for many times, especially during the night. But be aware, no dash mounted detectors could save you from instant killer called laser gun except laser shifter. But this detector has excellent radar range detect before the pigs can read your speed and at least can tell you the pigs have the reading from their laser guns. Also, you could see one of its great savings from my video.
@mariosti Who pays me? Seems that I need to go collect a bunch of back payments! I don't get any kickbacks, payments from the manufacture on the reviews.
@Fastgt2003 Wow! Spend hours of my time and energy to do a review of a product and because the manufacture sends me a unit that is a kick back?? Ok so I made about $4.00 an hour on this review WTF
@radarroy You do so many videos yet you don't own a camera? camera man== tripod? if you pay people to edit that's one thing, Test ?????This video just say's what is on the box not about the range or the shitty ramp up how come??? Because you don't want anything not positive about it said which is what happens when you get kick backs ...items for free u don't want to say bad things about it !!!
looks sweet, I was actually thinking about getting that one, until i saw the IQ. for $150, i'll buy a GPS that has speed limit signs for all the roads at all times.
great review man. The only tough decision I have between this and the V1 is that the V1 has the arrors (big feature) and can detect from the rear. I dunno man....
@radarroy even reply to this right now and that comment is very true. because I still have Cobra XRS9445 which everyone said it is so bad it should be off the market. Well a long time ago when my truck have blue H.I.D lights and the police thought they were illegal or something follow me one whole county until I cross into the next county and before I did cross into the other county they turn on their radar detection equipment behind me and it show up Ka so all radar detect does detect rear end
Hmm...I bought the 9500ix yesterday and even ordered V1...maybe I'll keep both? I wish Escort for the $499 they charge at least give you a straight cord instead of the useless travel case :\
I've started getting a bunch of false K band alerts recently on my 9500ix which it never did before. Have had it for more than a few months... Any suggestions?
@2KARGARAGE It used to be, the shortcomings of the V1 no GPS and poor filtering. The only thing that the V1 has going for itself is its arrows and their patent expires soon for that

Roy, it detects those hidden cameras but will it jam those as well so that I can just drive the same speed and camera fails to shoot? Let me know.

@oldboy911 No, it is not a photo radar jammer. Will tell you where they are so you can slow down
