My fondest recollection of this beautiful hymn was when it was sung during the Offertory many decades ago when the Roman Catholic Mass was celebrated universally in Latin. The priest's prayers were said silently and the haunting melody of this timeless hymn permeated throughout the church right before the "Orate Fratres". I don't know about other people, but this particular hymn at the Offertory of the Traditional Catholic Mass in Latin left me awestruck.

So many people together who already know the Lord, a nice thing, but a great thing would be the same group if people out here singing to the one's who don;t know Him YET !! Pray for this. philillie

This is sung exactly as I remember it and as it is now sung in my Roman Catholic Latin Mass service.
