  • Thanks so much for posting this piece. Hope you find the whole film sometime.

It brings back some great memories of my childhood.

Funny how something as short and simple as this can invoke such strong feelings of a time gone by, and things I'd forgotten all about.

And I think I can remember the other version that qtkt08 is talking about!

anyway.... Awesome, thanks again so much!

  • @Joejono22 Yup I remember the other, older version. It would just appear on tv now and then in the 60s. An interlude. The "too loud man, too loud" stuck in my mind

    KR

  • The singer is a great American satirist / actor / voice over guy called Stan Freburg who is still alive today, the song was a hit in the states late 1950's, he was the weird al yankovic of his day, taking the mick out of any new pop styles. He also writes for advertising in the US, as well as many cartoon character voices, check his recordings out he it is top drawer stuff.

  • speedy and bugs

    AWESOME :)

I heard this first years ago I think on Dr. Demento

    LOVE IT

  • Just another thing. I'd love to know who made this film. There are a few puppet animations set to Stan Freberg's records which feature a white rabbit and a frog. I think they were made by the same people as were behind this film.

  • I remember that. There was a spoof Little Red Riding Hood bit where she was smuggling sweeties hidden under weaponry and later they sang "Cocktails for Two". Very funny. Wish i knew who made it or what it was called.

  • Remember this showing on Blue Peter in 1982. Do you have it from the beginning?

  • Sadly no. I saw it start, switched on the VHS and that's what U got. I'd love a full version

    Keith

  • Sorry it's not better quality Keith

  • Fabulous - never seen it in colour before! Thanks for posting.
