Thanks for posting this, but it's......how can I put it without offending anyone?..........it's.........it's........too piercing man......too piercing.
Brilliant stuff. Can we go back to those times please?
Terrific. I seem to remember another possibly older version from the late 60's. I vaguely remember a 'hippy' rabbit rather than Bugs Bunny. Anyone else?
@Joejono22 Yup I remember the other, older version. It would just appear on tv now and then in the 60s. An interlude. The "too loud man, too loud" stuck in my mind
the show seems to be blue peter @the end the three presenters are peter duncan far left who got invoved doing soft porn sara green is the woman tall guy is simon :)
This has made my year! in fact made my decade! - i first saw this song when I was at school - think circa 1985/86 and it had me in stitches then and has just had the same affect now... except i had better bladder control then! lol well done for posting it - cant wait to show the kiddies tomorrow
Right, not the first person to mention this however I'm very much aware of a cartoon animation of this song featuring beatnick rabbits. Does anyone have a link or could post this piece of film? I've been looking for years for the cartoon and have noever found it. HELP ME PLEASE!!
it must be over forty years since i last saw this animation (it's older than the edition of blue peter shown here) -and i thought i'd imagined it! thanks!
The singer is a great American satirist / actor / voice over guy called Stan Freburg who is still alive today, the song was a hit in the states late 1950's, he was the weird al yankovic of his day, taking the mick out of any new pop styles. He also writes for advertising in the US, as well as many cartoon character voices, check his recordings out he it is top drawer stuff.
I searched for this way back - really glad to find it a true classic - there was another one with a hippy rabbit way back when in the sixties in black and white - if anyone has it - please put it on Thanks
I so remember seeing this in B & W on BBC 1 on Blue Peter in the 60s and had forgot about the clip on of many P**s take from Stan Frebergs and love them
its p***y not piercing ... lol but this is so funny n wicked i luvv this song ... check out my bma's profile cuz there is us singing its lolabelle97 ta xxx luv ya xx katie xxx
i love this!! ive been trying to get a copy for years i had the all aboard album as a kid it was fab !! ive just purchased a copy of this song from amazon for 79p its on stan freburgs national lampoon album
As I remember it absolutely brilliant , we were only saying the other night this needs to be available for " Karaoke " . Does anybody have a full version . Well done mate for posting it . " I come through de window !!" Terry
I had no idea this 70s version exsisted. The other one from the 60s featured a Hippy & a Beatnik. Its very rare and its not on youtube :( The cd is easy to get hold of its "Stan Frebergs greatest hits".
Copies on 8mm film were for sale on ebay a few years ago.But who the f**k has an 8mm film projector???LOL
Excellent. Thanks for finding this. This was probably the earliest memory of my childhood reenacting this with my mates. Somewhere around 1965-1968. Never imagined I would ever see it again. :-)
Just another thing. I'd love to know who made this film. There are a few puppet animations set to Stan Freberg's records which feature a white rabbit and a frog. I think they were made by the same people as were behind this film.
I remember that. There was a spoof Little Red Riding Hood bit where she was smuggling sweeties hidden under weaponry and later they sang "Cocktails for Two". Very funny. Wish i knew who made it or what it was called.
Thanks so much for posting this version from the sixties, brings back very fond memories of my childhood...GREAT TIMES

Thanks so much for posting this piece. Hope you find the whole film sometime.
It brings back some great memories of my childhood.
Funny how something as short and simple as this can invoke such strong feelings of a time gone by, and things I'd forgotten all about.
And I think I can remember the other version that qtkt08 is talking about!
anyway.... Awesome, thanks again so much!
