actually soldiers that are there doesn't mean they were brainwashed, they were forced to go, so that comment shows how uneducated you are, second there not throwing stones to little kids there trying to make it in a metal bucket, third the only people who try and avoid are the scared insurgents hiding amongst the civilian population.

When you enlist, you're acknowledging that the US government has the power to send you wherever they choose, and you're giving consent to that, whether it be Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other place.

Furthermore, if you do some research and read some material that was written by the troops in iraq, you will find that the overwhelming majority (not all, but most) considered what they were doing in Iraq a just cause, and wouldn't give it up for the world.

i kno that, im a marine in a DEP program. the only thing that what you just said proves is that they considered what they were doing in iraq was a just cause and they would go back. you proved nothing that they volunteered to go instead of forced. the american goverment does have the power to send you but you never know for what.

then i guess it's just a disagreement on how we look at the term "volunteered" . You think that unless you volunteer for something specific that you were "forced."

I believe that if you volunteer to be sent anywhere, then when they send you your not being forced. . .

At the moment till you go to Basic you are a poolie. once you are in Basic you are a Recruit. You are NOT a marine till the EGA. Get it Straight dude.
