  • I watched a video of the beginning of cornerstone church last year but now I can't find it. It was people from that church giving testimony of the beginnings of the church. They interviewed members and showed pictures of their first store front church. Can anyone help me???

  • I think God wants me to leave my drama class but if I do I won't be able to go to university, which means I won't be able to become a teacher. Is there anything anybody here wants to say to me?

  • @squaferno why do you think God wants you to leave?

  • @AuraStudios I have to study a play that I feel encourages sin and I have to take part in a performance about black magic. I talked to my teachers and they say there is no alternative. I just feel that Jesus would leave so I should.

  • @squaferno why originally were you taking the class?

  • @AuraStudios I started in september 2010 and I didn't know I would be doing this at the time.

  • @squaferno well imho if you think God's plans may be bigger than what you planned back then (which is kind of a moot question), GET OUT OF THERE :)

  • @AuraStudios Thanks for the advice. Well... no university for me.

  • When Jesus talked about salt I thought the manure represented the world and the salt represented humans. If a human loses his saltiness, or his love for God becomes lukewarm, then he is useless. Not even the manure (the world) will want you. Jesus can use the manure to build stronger Christians with stronger faiths but he cannot use a lukewarm follower for anything

  • "You might have your OWN PARENTS hate you".. Its true your enemies will be of your own household.

  • I feel lukewarm at the moment and I'm definitely not loving it.

  • Praying for those 3 dislikes.

  • finally I understood this passage after reading it so many times, without any revelation !

  • "I've got a big ol' pile". Pahahaha this dude is funny, and very wise

  • @DaMasterandCommander , I'm pretty sure Jesus knows of what he means when he says you have to hate your family ect. to follow him. I think you've lost the TRUE meaning

  • "get off! your ruining my crap!" HAHAAA

  • "Go out and make disciples, but if you can't do that then just make christians" ROTFL!!!!!!!!

  • satan isnt in hell yet. in revelation it talks about the beast being thrown in the lake of fire at the end of times.

  • How can the Devil have time to do his evil, when hell soppuse to be a burning hell? It must not be that hot!

  • What that verse in the beginning really means it does not mean if you HATE YOUR FAMILY, it means if you love them LESS THAN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. This man who does not understand the absolute of that verse is hurting more than he helps. NEVER HATE, and if you do REPENT.

  • @DaMasterandCommander 25 Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple."

    Taken from the NIV Bible

  • @AllySmiles201 did you come here just to bash our religion??? if you don't like it then why come here and fuck with people??? and God didn't make evil, he made lucifer and through lucifer came evil...

  • @TheWestsideFolk I thought your god was the creator of everything? Selective in what you preach?

  • I CANT SHARE!!! NO NO NO I WANT TO SHARE THIS IT IS AMAZING!!! : D

  • @arianawishs Yes, you can. :) Just hit "share."

  • Gods War? NO.. God's Human Chess game with the Devil? Yes! Ohh don't forget, he made the devil and the feeling of evil. Didn't he make everything?

  • @AllySmiles201 When God created the Earth, He created light, not Darkness, it was already there.

  • @naaadude11 God? Just a mental Game!!!

  • sure if i'm going to rise in 3 days...What sacrifice if your coming back?

  • @AllySmiles201 The point of his sacrificial death was to absorb the wrath we deserved. His resurrection was to show his power over death and sin.

  • @JcWhatCounts20 ohh ok...hahaha and unicorns are real. I belive that the more your into religion, the more you become a hermit! And are worst then the ones that do not live their lives by that book! Occording to this video, we are all screwed! I love how he says that we're on a war.. I wonder who started? Hmmm Let me give you a clue (He started Everything) don't know yet? I'll tell you...The Creator.....:)

  • @AllySmiles201 Well, then you really don't understand the Bible very well! It thoroughly encourages community with other believers. If anything, becoming a hermit will ruin you and your faith. I do agree with you somewhat though, this does sound like we're all screwed, but that just isn't the case. We all deserve hell because we have all rebelled and turned from God, but that's why Jesus came, to redeem us of that rebellion and the penalty we deserve.

  • @AllySmiles201 and the war... God didn't start a war, we did. We messed up first and evil came into this world. God gives us victory in the war he's talking about, through Jesus. God is not the author of evil, we are the authors.

  • @JcWhatCounts20 we are playing a soul chess game?

  • @AllySmiles201 Being a Christian is hard... Harder than most people and most american "christians" realize it is when they get baptized or when they start going to church.

  • @GERMANCRAPPER Miss translation of the word hate. In that passage it means to love less, else be committing vanity.

Repent and may you learn of the absolute truth.

  • no one in the background is even paying attention, they should question if they're suppose to be there.

  • @wellsbranchdude God doesn't love only one group of people, instead he loves all. He uses those who are passionate for him. He uses the weak to the strong. It doesn't what ethnic background, or how smart or talented you are, God uses anybody he wants to. He is the God of all nations.

  • The God of the Chinese?

I thought we Worshiped the God of Israel.

  • Fundies,--- lol.

  • What section of the bible is he reading from?

  • I want that T-Shirt

  • was that at bigstuf?

  • I agree brother, how many people in that room will really do what you have preached. I have found this problem deeply exists, within system church!

I am suffering this very thing myself within my household... They are all church people - come out of their and follow me, as his spirit whispers to my heart. Are you receiving what I am writing...?

  • Which part of "Take up your Cross" led you to think that Christianity was going to be "Fun" and "easy"?!

  • Once you learn it's all or nothing, that's when freedom in Christ begins.

  • @zoomobob that is awesome

  • @zoomobob How can you have freedom in Christ when he asks you to give up your desires and your will to him? Isn't that the definition of slavery? (I'm not trying to be rude, btw. This is a genuine question.)

  • @Apmhflick in a sense, he takes your place and you act with the love that he has. it doesn't mean that you give up enjoying things or the ability to decide, but that in what you do, you pursue holiness - and if what you're doing is in sin, you won't want to do it anymore.

  • @AuraStudios OK, I get it. But even when Christians--like you, I'm assuming--give this line of reasoning; they have to know while they're giving it that there are still times they want to sin. So that must mean that either a) they aren't really saved by Christ (a new creation in/of him) or b) even filled with the holy spirit/love of Christ, they still want to exert their own will. Regardless, it seems to me that you can't escape desiring your own desires. So God is still restricting your actions

  • @Apmhflick in a sense that's all still true. for example, if you're out shopping for food it might cross your mind that "man, it'd be nice if i could just shoplift this and that cuz I really dont want to pay for it and it's overpriced and..." BUT the mindset of Christ allows you to understand that you represent/live for him and that's worth more than any sin you're contemplating. so in a way yeah he's keeping you from certain actions but ONLY IF: 1. you allow Him to act in your life (continued)

  • @Apmhflick and 2. those actions are sinful and dishonor the holiness of the Christ for whom you live.

  • @Apmhflick also, people are imperfect and not very strong, so it's possible to waver initially and return to sinning, but it is expected that you follow His will closer and closer as your life progresses

  • @AuraStudios OK. Thanks for the answer. It was well-thought-out and well said. I disagree merely out of personal disposition. You've twice mentioned "you represent/live for [Christ]." If that brings meaning and comfort to your life, that's great. Me, I don't need to defer to someone else to find value in my own life and likewise I don't need to defer to someone else to make good decisions. I may ask for advice from friends & family from time to time, but I make sure to maintain veto power.

  • @Apmhflick I respect your position! but I am obliged to politely further specify that my comfort and meaning are not what makes me desire to befriend and follow Christ, but that what He did for me on the cross ethically compels me to do what I do. It's a huge subject so I won't attempt to unfurl it at this moment, but I'd like to encourage you to (if even for the sake of just knowing about it) find out why Jesus HAD to die. I also want to mention that, AFAIK, my free will isnt infringed on.

  • @AuraStudios If Jesus is God and God is omnipotent, then Jesus didn't HAVE to do anything. I understand what you mean, but by pointing out small flaws like this I hope you'll start to see how difficult it is to maintain intellectual momentum and logical clarity when discussing something as complex and ornate as Christian doctrine. Furthermore, there's no evidence that Christ even existed, let alone died on a cross. But, even if Christ lived and died FOR ME...end pt.1

  • @Apmhflick Pt.2

...I wouldn't feel ethically compelled to surrender my entire life--every thought, action, opinion--and even my soul (forced to offer ebullient praise to God for eternity) simply because Christ spent a few hours on the cross. Jesus had a really bad weekend for my sins, but the problem is a)many people have suffered much worse, b)I didn't ask him to die on the cross, c)I don't believe my life actions constitute such an act, & d)handing off the consequences of my actions is wrong.

  • @Apmhflick Of course, from an abilities viewpoint God never "needs" to do anything at all to survive, but as defined by Christianity, God is ultimate love, which motivates the entirety of Christ. The other disconnect I feel you may be experiencing is the cost of whatever you do - if you don't think you "sin," then of course the gospel message won't appeal to you at all. Your logic is correct... but only external to the explanation offered from Christianity. (P1)

  • @Apmhflick Also, if you don't view God as the one standard for right/wrong then having God die for your sins won't make any sense either, among other things. And that's very much understandable. I will conclude by saying that, at least from my own life, I know that understanding this is a very complex and personally involved process and that I won't be the one to convince you of something that requires YOU to feel conviction upon yourself. Furthermore, I believe that my God is really all (P2)

  • @Apmhflick (P3) powerful, all knowing, and loves you enough that, if it is in His will, you will come to believe what I do and follow Christ. God converts people into TRUE Christians (I think you know as well as I that many Christians aren't functionally Christian at all), and that transformation is beyond my obligation and desire to share. I'm really glad that we've both been honest to each other in this exchange. Again, I don't think I've been "forced" in any way shape or form.

  • @Apmhflick (P4) God is like a father who cares for you - you love Him because you see the awesome transformations and things that He's done in your life and you want to follow Him because of the proof in your life. Last, I've got to say that I'm not validating your points (a-d), but only because I have a different understanding of those terms as you do. Take this however you will, but I hope you come to know Christ! Take this also however you will, but may God bless you and show Himself to you

  • @AuraStudios Thank you for your candor and your kindness too. I don't think I'll ever change my mind when it comes to Christianity (although you never know); but regardless, you may take pleasure in the fact that you have shown your Christ's love through this exchange.

    Take care.

  • @Apmhflick if you would like to hear more of my answers though, please just let me know

  • Wow, very powerful and very rare hearing it that way, he Deff didnt sugar coat it. God requires your all, you may lose everything but it'll be worth it for His name(=

  • This is my favorite section of Scripture in the entire Bible. But in ten years with Jesus, other than the verse about counting the cost, Francis Chan is the only guy I have heard even mention the rest of it, that is, that Jesus bluntly tells us what the cost is: EVERYTHING.

  • The last line is incredibly powerful.

  • @bboicrazy8 This whole video was INCREDIBLY POWERFUL! :)

  • Wow! How true is that?! Amen! Thank you for sharing this video.

  • die daily for god
