really? better the devil you know is about michael hutchence (mocking song from Kylie?), i read on internet (forgot the address) that SAW knew that Kylie dumped Jason, then they wrote this song for Kylie. RSVP is clearly about broken heart. Maybe because of that when Polydor offered him some songs from Martin Page and Nick Kershaw, he accepted them.

having said that, SAW's music was seen by many as manufactured, conveyor belt pop. it was ridiculed by the music cynics because they thought it was cheesy, disposable and throwaway. how times have changed since then. since the likes of SAW left, pop was never the same afterwards and which is why i hardly listen to today's music.

the music business lost the plot ages ago when they cared more about making money, rather than the types of records we like to listen
