bloooosy. these things are great, loads of fun and great for songwriting/composing. if u have 2 amps you should record a track and play it through a DIFFERENT AMP! this way you can easier add distortion and effects, without muddying up and softening the accompaniment

Get out of the pentatonic scale once in a while. Look up "modes" in whatever your favourite music theory source is - if you incorporate modes into your playing, your solos will be 100x more interesting.
