I watched this performance when it first aired on TV in March 2009. To this day it still brings tears to my eyes. Technically, musically, it's a masterful performance. An excellent arrangement of a tune that has become too under-done and mundane, McDonald made a gem of his appearance at this race just by doing what he did.
