  • WHY CHINA...AND OTHER COUNTRY DONT WANT TO JOIN THE ISS???

  • the coolest thing about 0 gravity during making these videos must have been the no need of a 3pod for his camera, simply let it where you want it ... no problem it stays there xD

  • @LyubomirStoychev yh i love the bit where he lets it go of the camera and it just spins so smoothly, fuckin awesome

  • 2 dislikes. Facepalm.jpg

  • 4:25 hello earth haha holy crap

  • The Soyuz and the oldest module look so much like the older Mir Space Station.. is it the same sort of schematic specification anyone?

  • i love how he acts so casual, he's only about 225 MILES from earth!

  • isnt that windows dangerous from all that radiation coming from space?

  • i can't believe they listen to music on the space station

  • Fascinating,I applied for tickets for the last three shuttle launches but was unlucky, will get there for a launch someday soon though, what a dream job.

  • i was eating garrett popcorns and i saw this guys name garrett hahaah

  • I could really get use to living up there.

  • da*mn that guy is midget at the start....

  • that would be awesome for my backache! maybe not the best idea to watch space videos whilst drunk though, what with all the spinning

  • I wonder how the auto rotate function in the cameras work in zero gravity...

  • how can some one dislike these video? I would love to be an astronaut! Solving a Rubik's cube in zero gravity just wow :D

  • somebody asked where does the waste go? well i can tell you we throw back into earth. where ever it land that where it lands

  • as awesome as these videos by dr reisman were, i was surprised that more people didnt watch this. dr reisman probably has the most charisma out of the all the crew ive watched giving tours of the station so far, its amazing that more people havent watched this.

  • @KimCheeWarrior "i was surprised that more people didnt watch this"

It is to you and I. But there you go. It goes to show, whilst many people think it's impossible to become an astronaut, there isn't as much competition in reality as there is in their mind.

"When you do something well, no one will know you've done anything at all", God speaking to Bender, Futurama

  • It's like an episode of hoarders :P

  • can i ask? where does all the waste go?

  • @TheMissRyn well i can tell you we throw them back into earth. where ever it land that where it lands prefer in america.

  • @tinkerbell6245 well, thanks a lot. that helped. (:

  • is there youtube in space????

  • @carlosjrp815 yeah but its ufotube lol

  • How can anybody think this is fake???

  • How do you get internet access to upload this stuff while on the ISS?

Oh, and do you think civilians will ever go into space?

  • @yesiamawizardjonny satellite

  • expensive container in space

  • i cant even begin to imagine what kind of person would dislike this

  • beautifull! I wish my bedroom was like that :(

  • Oh god i so want to live there

  • looks cool but my claustrophobia kicks in just watching this video.

  • 7:27 one of the beautiful view iv ever seen. great vid

  • cool

  • 1:53 what is the big metal thing

  • My question is, what is the temperature inside the ISS? And how is biological waste dealt with?

  • @GreenFont Biological waste, as well has normal trash, is sent out into the atmosphere towards Earth where it burns up almost instantly, like a meteor. Also, the ISS is kept at a nice balanced temperature, just a tad colder than room temperature. More important than the specific temperature is the fact that it remains balanced. Space is cold, the sun is hot, so one side of the space station could be a couple hundred degrees above 0, while the other is a couple hundred below. Ouch.

  • @leaualorin

Good thing you're trolling, and definitely not this stupid.

  • @leaualorin u fucking noob

  • space is the only thing that gives me a sense of transendance

  • @leaualorin The reason you cant see stars on a video is because the starts look faint in comparision to the ISS's lighting, so the cameras can't capture the stars due to dimness.

  • Imagine the download speeds :)

  • Theres alot of things that people would love so much to do, but when the do it, they eventually get bored with it, but i don't space is anything like that

  • At 4:25 is that The Rolling Stones? ("19th Nervous Breakdown", I think). They have cool music in space. :D

  • @14hp1

Oh, nevermind, he said it was the Stones.

I saw another one where the Beatles' "A Hard Days Night" was playing.

  • living in an airtight building with years and years of accumulated farts sounds great

  • lol

  • @cajunboy71341 ventilation

  • if they ventilated they would die space is an imperfect vacume they cant do anything about the shit smell it was made to be a joke anyways ;)

  • @jared71322 not that kind of ventilation. Im talking about filtering the air like an air conditioner.

  • @jared71322 Feces are put in a special (most likely airtight) container. It won't be that bad. And yeah, the air in there is filtered, otherwise they'd all die because of lack of oxygen.

  • They seem to be very particular about keeping the Russian and American items seperate. Is there a logical reason for this?

  • The metric system is not used much in American Technology. I would think they need to keep them separate because one size doesn't fit all.

  • @Th3Cynic cuz russian space program and nasa both buy their food products from distributers just like we do, so im sure neither greedy ass country wants 2 share im guessing... just like lil bratty kids and candy

  • how hard could it be to pipe in some satellite radio? come on world, the boys need some new tunes.

  • They have mp3 players, and also have computers hooked up to the internet. So I doubt they are missing much music or movies. They probably sit there and watch people get knocked out on youtube like alot of us do, heh

  • @ConsoleCommander astro/cosmonaut 2 girls 1 cup reaction ftw

  • Notice every laptop is a ThinkPad, and all of the media players are iPods... best laptops but not the best PMPs, there's ones with lower fail rates... but in 0g their HDDs are probably much less prone to death.

  • u said hello earth in exactly the same way like 3 times i love the iss!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is so kewl!

  • It's weird that this doesn't have more comments and that more people don't find our only space outpost more fascinating.

quisqueyatv: There's friction up there too, that results from two bodies interacting with each other and the amount of friction is dependent upon the roughness of those surfaces. That applies in zero-g as it does in a gravity well.

  • i completely agree, X-factor has millions of views whereas space travel has only a meagre handful

  • fantastic view from ur bedroom lol that would sell lol. there isnt another hotel in the earth that wouldnt have that view

  • if theres no gravity nor friction to hold up anything then what happens to the blood and the stuff inside you ??

  • they hold by your mussles

  • that's an ipod stuck to the wall at 5:33. But I thought the ipod hard drives have some kind of a fail-safe mechanism that parks the read/write probe when it detects a free fall.......the ISS is effectively free falling all the time! So how do they work?anyone? dont tell me it's flash memory cause a careful inspection reveals that it's a white, hard drive based classic ipod

  • It could be a special one extra ordered from apple for the astronauts

  • my guess is that the fall detection mechanism is based on some accelerometer. hence, no matter how great their speed is, as long as their acceleration stays under the mechanism treshold.

  • (this was in response to anuragkesari's comment)

  • The "free fall" mechanism is a accelerometer... It´s mesures the aceleration... when free falling in earth thats 9.8m/s2... The ISS has constant speed and not acelerating in its reference frame. All thow on earth's reference frame it has a radial/centripital aceleration wich makes it describe a circular motion... Since the ipod is at rest on board it should play beautifly =P

  • must be hard to find people in there but looks fun i wish i was there

  • this is so awesome

  • "hello earth" :D awesome :))))

  • Awesome, I'm sure that many hundred of years from now, what we felt watching this video, the Earth through that window, will be something common for all humans with the development of space travel

  • Fuels my dream to become a Space Cadet.

  • this looks like a really cool job, but man, id get sooo clostrophobic in that thing!

  • what will happen if a window "brake"

  • Comment removed

  • I love "19th Nervous Breakdown"

  • the russian segment looks so cool, it has a special feel to it with all those exposed wires and stuff

  • Would be nice to see ISS in detail if they had an HD camcorder. Still great to see astronauts sharing their experience with us, the earthlinks... :)

  • I have a huge crush on Garrett. He's SO FUNNY!

  • WOW this is amazing!!!

  • hahahha, i want to be an astronaught

  • There's no gh at the end

  • Maybe he was filming on a Sunday, when the place is dead :)) I think the next step by NASA should be building a space hotel, similar to ISS, with decent rates, let`s say an average salary per night. That`s including transportation and space visa of course...

  • Awesome video. Someone should model the interior of the ISS in a game engine or an interactive flash movie or something so we can move around and get an even better real feel for the layout!

  • Wow. Is the space station just so big or is there really no one there? I didn't see any other astronaut. How creapy and at the same time awesome must that be, to be at the space station all by yourself.

  • Thanks for the video! Astronauts are never compared to policemen, firemen or soldiers, but the reality is they put their lives on the line each day to give something back to this country. They may not necessarily go to battle to protect us, but they go to battle against a great force, the Universe, to bring us information and give us options for the future.

  • @legacycx they still get to see the world from space and the risks are not as bad as they used to be..i would take the risk to see the heavens and earth from space...

  • @FSXISCOOL Still, one tiny error like someone space walking and making a cut on the suits or space debris hitting could kill the people on board.

  • @legacycx Not just for the Country, but for the 6.9 Billion of us.

  • There's no 'floor'

  • Garrett is the coolest new astronaut I know of. He was just on the Colbert Report last night in person this time. I wish he would do more media stuff since he really makes it all pretty cool. He has my dream job!

  • Thats great, you even had the Rollig-Stons playing in there.

  • Yeah and its even tinner cause people are lazy and killing the ozone.... -__-

Dude I would get lost in there, not knowing up from down

  • Interesting stuff!

  • is it just me or does the inside of the ISS look very cluttered with "stuff"

  • It is great to see others enjoyed this as much as we did. Dr. Reisman does such an incredible job of filming/narration. As some of you may know, filming yourself can be difficult and unnerving. FYI: He did a live PAO with the Colbert Report from the ISS. If you breath air, it is a must see. The 9 minute interview is very funny, and they both do an excellent job of promoting NASA. The link will be placed in the video info.

  • I saw this on the nasa channel yesterday.. I didn't finish it so thanks.............. I am in love with space.......... P.S. plz subscribe ,me i did to u

  • thanks man i was doing a project on this .this is awsome thanks so much umm im gonna tell poepl about his..

  • This is awesome!
