  • WOW YOU IS GREAT...LOL

  • This rly helped me! Thx for Making the vid I LOVED it :D.

  • Please, tell me how long you took to master such great skills! :D

  • @gokharol Less than a year. At this particular point I would say no more than 7 months.

  • You have an amazing voice

  • @bingolongfart Thank you :) You have an amazing name :p

  • @Dizbet Thank you

  • YOUR PERFECT

  • which way should your feet be pointing? sorry if this is a bad question..... and thanks for the video its more descriptive than the other :D

  • @XOTabbyLoverOX Well your feet should of course be pointing forward and back. Front foot, top of the foot facing upward, toes pointed forward. Back foot, in most cases faces up and slightly sideways(If it is your left leg that is behind, the sole of your foot slightly faces the right. Likewise, if it is your right foot that is behind, the sole of your foot slightly faces the left).

  • dnt bounce its bad for ur muscles...

  • @horsescinco Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind next time I stretch :-)

  • WHAT IF YOUR NOT FLEXIBLE CAN YOU STILL DO ONE ???

  • @Bribreezybby It's all about stretching to get to that point. If you are unable to do the stretches here, perhaps you need to begin with less aggressive stretches. With consistent training you should be able to do a split. I wish you the best of luck!

  • Niceee :)

  • That's a very pretty video, thanks.

  • Thanks for the vid, I'm gonna try to do the same things that you did.

  • Thank you for helpin me get those last couple of inches :)

  • im close to the split

  • @123charmian Congrats! It's quite a feat to accomplish so I applaud you for your persistence :-) Good luck!

  • Check out fitforafeast!!!they are the best!i used to be really stiff and weak but now im stronger and really flexible

  • Nice vid :)

  • @NakedCodes Thank you :-)

  • is this your first time doing the splits ? &&' will doing these stretches increase my flexibilty?

  • @Beyonce1011 This was probably in my first 20 spilts or so. I can't guarantee anything but these stretches were what helped me get all the way down. I am not a certified instructor so I can't really promise anything and would advise that you speak to someone trained if you are serious about furthering your flexibility.

  • goooooooodddddd splits

  • i have probelm of knees chronik so do u recommende that exercices ?

  • @soslabass I am not a professional so I can not give you medical advice on whether or not to do this exercise. I would however recommend contacting you physician about this or seeking out a trained professional.

  • @Dizbet im living in algeria it rare to find some doctor qualified and we havnt sophisticate materials ;if u find its too exapansive ,the kness injuris is too complicate ,any way i m gonna search in forums ,intil now i try to be carfeully in stretching when i will started this spring , now men tendon needs rests. thanks a lot

  • @matchingfreak94

You're very welcome, I'm really glad this helped :-)

It took me a week or two to get the splits down with my left leg forward, for my right leg forward it took me a few months, my right leg is a lot tighter than my left. Good luck!

  • Oh good video. I can learn from this. Thanks!

  • Thanks, I'm glad I could help! :-)

  • these stretches are realy usefull for my taekwondo training, thanks!

    ps: nice legs!

  • Glad I could help.

    Thanks for the compliment :-)

  • Are you supposed to be rocking in those stretches? I'm pretty sure that's how you tear muscles. It should be more of a gentle pulling until you reach your limit.

  • I appreciate you pointing that out. I'm not a professional instructor so I'm not sure if this is the "correct" way to do this, however, this is the technique I used to accomplish the splits.

I do know that when you stretch for splits, you are slightly tearing your muscles and your body then rebuilds the muscle with new tissue, which elongates the muscle which is why you are able to stretch further with more and more practice. And yes you're right, don't push yourself too far when stretching.

  • i like this. it made me so more motivated

  • Thanks, I'm really glad, motivation is definitely key in any sort of physical practice. Thanks for watching :-)

  • could you post one with center splits? i can already do the regular split! please and thankyou!

  • I will start working on that. I am not able to do center splits yet, but I could record some stretches I do if you still want me to?

  • alright thanks!!

  • well you dont have to worry about it anymore.

i talked to my dance teacher and she told me at my age and how my body is already formed, i wont be able to do one.. yeah that sucks! but thanks anyways!!

  • Alright. Sorry to hear that, I know it must be disappointing :-(

    Keep stretching though! :-)

  • alright i will!! but thanks for the help!!

  • I understand your frustration, I am reaching that age too. That's why I am gonna start stretching now.

Thanks for the video I will follow your routine

  • I'm glad I could help.

  • The knee that's in front always hurts when I do the splits. I think it's because it's holding a lot of my weight up. Is that normal?

  • How long have you been practicing the splits?

If you can't sit comfortably in a split yet and are still working on getting all the way down to sitting, it may be that you are putting too much strain on your front knee. I would suggest making sure that you are still using your arms to hold you up and help you ease into it. Hopefully with some more stretching it won't feel as strained.

I have no professional training in this so this is just what I think based on personal opinion.

  • I've been stretchin for 3 months. It hurts everytime. I'm almost to the floor. I got like 3 inches left :). But yeah I use my arms, i still feel stress in the knees though, but I guess once i reach the bottom my knees won't need to hold my weight up anymore.

  • Congrats on that, I know how awesome it feels when you make progress! :-)

I'm really not sure, because I'm not a professional.

Have you had any knee injuries in the past? I sprained my right knee a few years back and it has really affected my right splits.

  • Haha yeah it's awesome. It was definitely frustrating at first, but like after a month there was a jump in progress so i kept on working on it. I did hurt my left knee dancing, but even my right knee hurts when i stretch with that one in front, so I dunno, maybe it's the way my knees grew out -_-. Thanks for the help though! :)

  • I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks for watching, I appreciate it! :-D

  • my bak knee keeps me from going down can u tell me y its doing that

  • Because I can't see exactly what the problem is this is a difficult question to answer.

It may just be that you need to stretch more,

maybe once you get your hips more open and stretch your hamstrings, it will be easier to ease yourself down into it without causing pain.

If this isn't at all the question you needed to have answered, please let me know

    Hope this helped somewhat!

  • luv this....thanks for posting it. i'm working on doing splits the other way but would like to improve it this way as well. i'll be definitely using this until i get the stretches memorized! great job!! :)

  • Thank you so much, I really appreciate the good feedback :-D

  • Hi. Itis verry good video.

  • Wow!

    ure flexy as :)

any stuff u could say to help?

    xo'

  • My advice would be to try stretching every day, try to make it a part of your daily routine, and don't give up!

I'm sure you'll get to where you want to be if you're patient.

    :-)

  • Haha Yerh Probley Lol :)

Yip i;ll try be patient :D

Lol, Du u No Eny Stretches 4 middle splits?

    xo'

  • your soo flexible lucky lol! just as a helpful tip when your stretching pointing your feet gives it a little extra oomph(: good job!

  • :-)

Thanks for the tip, I will definitely keep that in mind when I stretch!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Nice tutorial, hope to see more!

  • at 3:04 for a better stretch maybe try get your chest + chin on your knee + look at your foot (pointed) i find that a much better stretch lol, but good video x

  • Thanks for watching. I appreciate the advice, I'll definitely do that next time :-)

  • fab video

    thanks for putting it up!

i do freestyle disco dance and i really wanna learn to do the splits!

how long do you think it will take if i follow your stretching routine every day??

  • Oh Thank you so much!

I really can't give you a certain amount of time as it is different for everyone because some people are more naturally flexible than others.

It personally took my about 4 hours of stretching in a single day, but I have a lot of natural flexibility.

I would just recommend trying to stretch everyday, skipping or missing a day can set you back.

  • wait lol its the middle split thats wht i can do :)

  • I see haha, personally, I have a hard time with middle splits, I suppose I need more practice.

    Thank you for watching ^.^

  • lol its really wierd i can do the splits but not the way u did it the other way when my legs r in a line and my chest is facing foward horizontal i guess but i havent tried vertical

  • its my first time trying to do the splits

my mussle next to my coochie

    hurtss when istretch

and my legss so DO NOT want to do the splits.

    and iwana learn them ASAP!

if i do ur excercises every single day...

will i finally accomplish to do themm>???????????????????????=)

  • Mine is the same when I have my right leg forward.

I can't make any promises because I am not a certified instructor and I don't have any professional training but this is what I do and it has helped me a lot!

As far as the ASAP thing, don't force your splits because you can damage your muscles and it can set you back even farther than when you started.

If you have any other questions feel free to message me :-)

  • I love this video!

  • Thank you so much for putting this video on here... I'm trying out for the drill/dance/kick/wutever you want to call it team..(LOL) ANyway, the instructor told me to work on my splits and I didn't know how so i searched for a video to help..
