Denver mentioned that Gilligan's first name was proposed Willy on The Pat Sajak Show in the 1980's.

Denver also mentioned he got involved with the "AND THE REST" feud the Professor and Mary Ann had with Sherwood Schwartz. He said his contract had a billing clause in it. He could be 1st billed or last billed. So he put it to Schwartz that if the Profssor and Mary Ann aren't mentioned in the theme song, he'd ask for last billing and force Schultz to change the whole song--pretty smart!!
