I thought that the terms O'Shaughnessy and Aberdeen referred to the shape of the hooks, not to their strength.
Furthermore at 4:14 you call aberdeen a hook that looks more like an octopus or a beak hook, on the other hand it is an offset hook and I've always known aberdeen are not.
the lakes near me only permit barbless fishing hooks and have carp up to 30lb aswell asdecent size bream, roach, perch, tench and rudd. I was wondering what type and size of hook you would recommend for my 2 rods.. i was thinking one rod for carp and another for the smaller fish. Im a complete beginner and know nothing!!
Lately I've been using a Texas rig on a 5''stick worm but it seems that the hook i'm using is too short. Can u help me out?

@Twinz8523 The suggested hook size for a 5" worm is 4/0 EWG

The barb was originally designed to prevent bait from slipping off your hook.

size 6 for bream & 2 or 4 for carp should be ok for general use.
