How did he aply for the special call sign? Good video because it explains how he got involved in hiking with goats. Glad he showed the pack he made. Do they have places where you can "rent a goat"? Sounds like a great idea to hike with the goats when you have a lot of equipment to carry. Wouldn't want to keep those things around the house though.
"HEY WG0AT! We want a Rent-A-Goat rental agency with goat backpacking gear suppy store here in Colorado!"

I've climbed 45 of the 14ers and have never seen domestic goats on the trail before. I don't think you can rent them, either, but I don't know for sure!

Nice video. Because of Steve and his two boys I have a pair of goats in traininjg. My guys are, Willie and Waylon. They are boar goats and were also heading to slaughter when I bought them. Goats are great companions and very easy to train.
