Also you forget to realize that baseball was popular over here in North & Latin America, as well in the Caribbean and they didn't start having international tourneys until the mid 1950s or so. don't qoute me on that.

The Cuban baseball players have enough talent and original style, but in terms of performance and endurance they are still under question. Now something big happened with the cuban baseball, the retirement of the big stars like Orestes Kindelan, Pacheco, German Mesa, Luis Ulasia, Omar Linares, Gurriel...and some others that i dont remember bc i was just a kid...that started like in 1990-95.... more or less...they were like the best of the best.... after that the quality of the baseball went down even in the cuban national series..
