  • i can't see how earth worms can be threatening in any way........

  • This is totally awesome! I quit eating bread and butter sandwiches because of it! Totally creepy!

  • Squirm is awesome! Killer earthworms may sound stupid. But it's a really cool intro in the "Nature Runs Amok" subgenre (aka "The JAWS clones") that followed the release of JAWS in 1975. Not only that, but there's a really cool MGM DVD release of this one out there that's worth the buy. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended.

  • a classical horror movie. hahahae.

  • It makes me really sad that I've seen hundreds of really messed up horror films and THIS is one of the five I can think of that actually freak me out. Ugh I hate worms. Lol.

  • omg it's earthworms! they will catch us unless we walk away!

    or even crawl..that works too..

  • Killer Worms!

  • KURWA! Nie oglądać tego... najgorsza szmira jaką oglądałem... a bohaterowie wkurwiają na maxa :/ 1/10

  • classic! Lieberman is the man!

  • See that's why we put Worms on Hooks!!!!! KILL THEM ALL

  • mst3k did a good job of making fun of this movie

  • I'm still amazed that nobody has picked up on the fact that the opening number "I can see the dark..." is the song in "Pan's Labyrinth." Del Toro definitely grew up on movies like these.

  • @TheAltair4

Indeed but stomach churning. Does this remind you of Slugs? and did you see this on MST3K?

  • @Johnlindsey289 The Worm Eaters is a lot more disgusting, believe me. This is sort of similar to Slugs and i saw it on video as a kid. Never saw it on MST3K.

  • @TheAltair4

I have no desire to see that one, sounds gross. I think Adam Green of Hatchet 1 & 2 or Frozen fame should do a new Squirm movie and have Tom Atkins in it. I'll send you the episode of MST3K that has Squirm

  • @Johnlindsey289 yeah i did when i was 19 on scifi channel laughing at the movie it was so bad that the plot didn't make a lot of sense it makes you wonder what were they thinking!!!!!!!!

  • I saw this 18 years ago on TBS, quite a disgusting movie. MST3K made it a great episode, now this could make a good remake

  • looks nasty

  • The lightning made eathworms turn agressive toards humans.Perfectly logical premise NOT The '70s were full of these garbage B movies. From killer bees,to spiders,to frogs and snakes and rats.

  • "Now you gonna be da worm face!"

  • I DO remember, "back in the day," here in Seattle Washington, on channel 11, Squirm was a part of "Mother Nature's Revenge Week." If my memory serves me, correctly, the other shows were: Jaws, Kingdom of The Spiders, Bug, and Piranha. In my opinion, unless it was Halloween, or getting CLOSE to Halloween, where T.V. channels featured scary films, weekly T.V. has NEVER BEEN BETTER SINCE!

  • "Knee high to a DUCK"

  • Am I the only one who realizes that the opening song to this movie is the theme to "Pan's Labyrinth?".. I remember this movie from the 70's...when Lebanon, PA had downtown theaters, where you could walk past the ticket booth and go inside to see stills from the movie...like "Deranged."...good times.

  • "Squirm" was eventually remade in 1990 known as "Tremors"

  • ok im a fan of monster movies and b movies too and i just gotta say this is a incredibly dumb idea for amovie...i mean come on..earth worms? o.o

earth worms can move in the earth yes but above earth theyre pretty helpless. i mean hell a tiny puddle can and does kill worms...now if they mutated them or something ok but just normal worms with a craving for flesh? lol no...

  • I-- I remember this! I saw this with my friend as a kid! The shower head, ending part with the lady climbing out of the chest, worm face biting, tree sparking, and lake scene were burned into my memory forever! I just could never remember the title of the movie.

  • @Sarasirk531 Thanks for ruining the end for people who never seen it

  • @junkyturd How did I ruin it? I didn't say who climbed out of the chest, or what situation they climbed out into.

  • @Sarasirk531 Just being silly, i don't think anybody will be watching this movie anytime soon

  • @junkyturd True, so true.

  • i hate this movie and the mst3k version

  • This movie was so entertaining. The girl with the platform shoes was so amusing in her acting

  • wow, this looks shit

  • Mr. Beardsley?!

  • anyone ever think to set the worms on fire? lol

i got a phobia of worms but this really doesn't look that scary XD

  • Does anyone think this might have inspired Slither?

  • "Squirm! A new experience in pure fright!" LOL

A film that deserved the MST3K touch.

  • @PunchSydeiron it was shown in the final episode

  • @ronin6401 Actually, it was the second to last episode. The last episode was Danger: Diabolik!

  • this is one of my all time favorite movies

  • Don't miss this movie if you were ever "knee high to a duck." You will squirm like a worm as you wiggle and grimace in fear, while watching this goopy, crawly, masterpiece.

  • We shape our hair in waves down here boy

  • this looks like such a stupid movie

  • @EgyptAussy97 It's suprisingly good fun....

  • This would be my wifes worst nightmare.

  • Reminds me of J.P Simons movie "Slugs" only not as graphic and violent!

  • Love this movie, it's a classic!

I grew up watching movies like this, when i was knee high to a duck! lol

    Thanks for posting it! :)

  • @Witchiekatt75 Just finished watching the DVD version. Great B-movie gem! BTW, this VHS version is so much darker than the DVD version!

  • The video and actors are good but the voice-over is ridiculous, imho. The voice and the words.

  • I haven't seen a movie like this s...s-since I was knee high to a duck.

  • 0:44 -- "I'm not doing anything."

    You know I'm perfectly smooth!

(Kudos if you know where that one's from.)

  • AH! I remember this movie! Scared the crap out of me as a kid, I was firmly convinced that those worms where going to crawl up under my skin while I slept.

  • How icky, hee hee! Neat trailer, for a not bad B film, which has some decent gross out moments and some early Rick Baker makeup work. And of course the bit everyone remembers, the worms crawling out of the shower head. Messed me up as a kid, never trusted those things again! Thanks for posting!
