@deadman12078 I'm working on that; it looks possible. The electronics are based on a 2025 dual amplifier with a maximum gain of 46 dB. With the addition of a resistor, that gain is lowered. This circuit appears to have a 100 ohm resistor which brings the gain down to 36 dB. If I replaced it with something lower, say 47 ohms, it should get louder. Of course, one runs the risk of burning out the amp.
LOL...we have all been there...trying to figure out how the widget was designed/assembled. Guess I would have cut an inspection hatch on the backside near the top to get a view inside. I just disassembled an old flat-plate scanner...amazing where they hide the hardware! Good luck and thanks for the dissection!
Pretty big magnets for the speakers. I've found Altec Lansing media speakers with subwoofer to have very good sound. I can usually tear things down but unable to put them back together :)
@wtam69 Each side has a 3 Watt, 4-ohm speaker with some good sized ferrite (?) magnets. The system is advertised as 5 Watts so I suppose it puts out 2.5 Watts per channel. These were on sale at Best Buy. I was just taking a chance that they would work with the piano output so I didn't want to spend a lot. Wouldn't you know it, I threw out all the speakers that came with my computers over the years. I usually break things too. I thought a video might help someone else. :-)
It is quite common that screws are hidden under speaker grills.

I wanted to see how you increase the gain :(

@bearpatch626 Yes! I found them. I don't know why she finds them so interesting.

@srhenderson186 LOL! She has to touch everything! If I leave her alone for a while, she will start cutting my solder into 1 inch lengths. :-)
