This cartoons was my bestie back in the day. This movie had all my love from the moment the camp bus leaves Charlie Brown at the store--while he's standing right in front of the school bus mind you--and he yells "YOU FORGOT ABOut ME!" I swear my camp bus left me too--all by myself in the woods no less--and I totally fucking yelled at the top of my lungs when it happened too! A+ movie.

Love that statement. It also fits well to modern music as well... Yeah. Actually how hard is to learn playing an instrument and make an music with your band? Every secound of music must be perfect and now, just put it on time line and there you go. Cheap like never before. One guy can replace whole band, thanks to technology but I hate how sometimes those sounds can be annoying and dubstep is the leader in this for sure.

3D is a tacky gimmick, and CG animated characters are mechanical and "soulless", in my opinion. It has nothing to do with nostalgia but with taste. While classic Disney animation will stand the test of time, one day, the census will be that computer animated movies look "so 2000s".

As somebody who grew up on 80's cartoons, I could hardly call today's computer animation "shit". The 3-D of today is simply amazing and other worldly. It takes kids and their imaginations to another level. The caution should be in over-stimulation and sensory overload. I love old school hand drawn animation, but selling today's 3-D short is sad. There needs to be a healthy balance between the two. Both are wonderful in their respective ways. The greater abomination of today is the writing.

Oh, I remember this! I had a VHS of it, but I was almost certain I had it on a DVD in a compilation box set, but I guess I was mistaken. I always felt sorry for Charlie, but it really added to the triumphant feel of the ending.

Peanuts animations may seem a bit minimalistic now, but they really make do with what they had then. The animation has a lot of personality too.

@TheMikeBase Yo Mike - As an amateur animator in most side of the animating spectrum (3D modeling, tradition drawing, sprites, etc) I'd just want to say that I agree that 3D animating and modeling can be hard as balls to create- however, there are a lot of games and movies other there using 3D graphics with terrible quality compared to hand drawn animations. Traditional animation can be just as difficult to accomplish as 3D depending on the amount of effort put into the story.

CGI should never be made for cartoons, it ruins what can be a strong good series with a much well better concept for drawing. CGI should never be a short 30 minute cartoon series for kids because it does really ruin morning Cartoons. I love CGI, but basing it as a series in cartoons is just a terrible means of what can be truly done. CGI films are only ok if it's Pixar because those amazing films can only be in CGI and not well fit if animated. Seriously, people never appreciate anything anymore and nostalgically complain. Okay, I'm going to be perfectly honest...I think Peanuts is overrated. Yeah, I know everyone grew up with the characters, but that aside...Charlie Brown's a whiner, the characters are all one-dimensional and bland, and the humor...well, it sucks. I stopped finding it funny in the fifth grade.

I think the only reason they use CGI because it's cheaper. Also they use Flash animation because it's cheaper than traditional. It looks awful. The only traditional animation movie you'll see is from Disney who'll release one every 2 years.

It allows movie companies like Pixar to release more than one movie every two or three or so years.

CGI and flash animation is cheaper, takes less time, takes less coordination, it's more convenient, and is more environmentally friendly, since it's very possible to do everything on just a computer.
