he is still rideing i live right next to were he grew up and my dad used to ride bikes with him ive rode with dmc a couple of times he used to own a house right next to mine that had a skatepark but he sold it and the guy doesnt let anyone use it
dmc is a real pro- so quick on the ground so rad in the air- It takes so much talent to ride in all disciplines- DMC is definitely one of the greatest riders. I bet he is still riding-
funky chickens, lawnmowers, flails, hang fives!!! I used to be able to do it. pulled a whiplash off about a year ago. sad i know. 35 and 225 pnds its harder now.
I have vid. from 87, at the master finals where he tied with R.L., and battled it out at the tie breaker. Yes, he was untouchable, but at the same event, an unknown rider was there, Kevin Jones, whom paved the way for alot of rolling tricks( I quit after that) and I have that footage also. I have so much video, also have Jessie Puente in 87, riding at the Socko event in Huntington Beach.
I couldnt agree more with 66tubeamp,dennis completely rocked this,I can see so much influence in hindsight on my riding, and as I commented on martin's vid,the old riders were feeling the pressure of the new style, dmc was ahead of its time, even his music was more aggressive than the pop tunes gt's riders had.DMC is the greatest rider of all time,in general, and he should be recognized as such, and, yes, that miami hopper blended in sweetly, there are japanesridersdoing tmemachines intopedalpickersnow!
I agree. To me this looks a lot better than today's freestyle, which seems to be only whilring and rolling. And what's up with these silly small handlebars these days?
Pretty amazing to watch this run, and other from this contest that are posted, to see where flatland was heading. You can see the old guard in Eddie Fiola's run [entertaining, but clearly from a different time] and the newer approach from Dennis and many of the others. In fact, this exact period is, in hindsight, very exciting: it's not endless whilring and rolling like now. There's lots of rolling AND plenty of the old school, like the Miami Hopper move interspersed with rolling tricks. A+
Nice...that's the most consistent run I remember from Dennis BITD!

Damn this is tight. DMC rules. I had an 87 Haro Master that was stolen. Wish I still had it. :(

Dennis could NOT be touched back then. Hell... he's what? 42 or so nowadays and STILL a hell of a rider. He was always one of my favorites.
