I've played the future series and the original series. A Crack In Time is my favorite out of the future series.

The PS2 games (1-4, excluding the Size Matters port) were the best in my opinion. They play better (the game play is a lot faster, Ratchet moves more quickly as well) and the weapons feel more practical but still have an air of creativity. Even though graphically the PS3 ones are gorgeous, they just don't compare to the first four were it really matters.

I have rented the first 3-4 games. I think I beat one of them though I got a bit uninterested in the series around the 3rd game. Part of me wants to play those games over, and then play the future trilogy and whatever games I missed.

Nice review. Got me re-interested in the series again. Then again, there is always playthroughs and LP's on YouTube I could watch...I don't know.

Damn Cody if you loved these games then you should play the original trilogy on the PS2, it is better than the future series in my opinion.

I personally loved the 1st and 3rd games, although I didn't play the 2nd one like most people. I liked A Crack in Time so much that during the last school year I gave a speech on it in my Oral Communications class. I got a bad(ish) grade on that speech mainly because there was just too much to talk about and as such I went over the set time limit. I agree that these games are ones not to be missed.

Lol. Now that I have watched the video, I must say, great review! Can't wait till I get around to playing 'em! Though I might want to recommend you go back and play the original PS2 games as well. Sure, graphics aren't (nearly) as good, but I'd say they're still enjoyable! =P

I played the original four on the PS2, even one of the spin-offs on the PSP.

All great & very humorous games that I go back to play from time to time. Kinda class them as one of the game series of my childhood, along with Spyro & Crash Bandicoot. However I have yet to play the future series, mainly because they are the only games I can think of that has made me consider buying a PS3.
