  • it was the dread locks that caused him to score lol

  • This guy isn't half English

  • y is phil waugh on dah bench???????

  • Why was Gregan on the bench?

  • It was quite lucky though it was a perfectly valid try as far as I can tell

  • a try is a try

  • nothing wrong with that. it was clearly onside

  • How could he be offside. He kicked the damnable ball.

  • the other players are offfside because they are infront of the kicker, but they didnt play the ball so theyre fine, smith isnt offside and so is fine

  • How is he offside again?

  • great have to find @jakerzissoocoollike's comment

  • Pretty obnoxious to say it was a fluke he obviously knew exactly what he was doing....pure talent!!

  • He speculated the ball, so he was the kicker, he was onside.

  • ok. but wat was the end score

  • @1harryeve 46-3 aus won

  • Dear video poster, get good and be less bad, he was onside, that is all.

  • @ImpedingPresence op is always a fag

  • Comment removed

  • @allikohcysp : it can be because its cold or sometimes when the ball's wet, you use the gloves with things that hold the ball.

  • why is he wearing gloves?

  • nah...aussies make their own luck

  • He wasn't offside...

  • i love him so much that when i went to my rugby presentation he was there so i got my hat signed !

  • get over it.... thats not fluky... it luck of the bounce!

  • Flukey because the other guy can't catch. That's rugby for you

  • Gordon Bray is an idiot.

  • check out the dreads on tha melon..

  • hahahah sooo flukey. Come on. Charge down stops nearly dead, punts it and it not only bounces off a player right into his running line, but bounces up perfectly for him, even bounces back towards him. Fluke (and I'm an ozzie die hard fan)

  • Comment removed

  • its not fluke u english twat !

  • its not fluek u english twat !

  • How can you be offside from your own kick?

Even if it doesn't hit the english guy in the head there's no one at home, always a chance for a try.

Also for those who say that some Aussies were offside, so what, it's not football, there are nearly always offside players when a player kicks in rugby, they just can't interfere until played onside.

  • Oz players offside and not blown up and you say its not flukey wtf.

  • how does winning a world cup make them good half those cunts dont even play anymore and how am i a scumbag by stating the truth cunt

  • Just by pure chance, George Smith is everywhere on the field like an energizer bunny. So in that sense it is not a fluke. A lazy flanker would not have scored that if he was walking around the field with arms on his side.

  • Not flukey? So, Larkham intentionally fluffed a kick, and then Smith intentionally kicked it into Varndell's head to set up a perfect rebound? Unlikely...

  • @Guardian0110 of course! We are that good! ;P

  • @aledooo123 HENCE flukey you retarded cunt. Fucking hell people like you make me sick at how retarded you can be.

  • it wasn't luck england's just shit at rugby

  • @YounqGe3kz yeahhh englands shit at rugby.... not like we won the world cup... wether that was years ago or not, a country that won the world cup cannot be shit at rugby... scumbag

  • @Oroutey and we got to the final in the last world cup with the worst team i have seen england put forward in a while :)

  • @Oroutey I'm sure he means relatively :P Even though I don't agree with him.

  • pure skill

  • @aledooo123 varndell didnt fuck up, it was a really unexpected kick. im australian and i can admit it was a fluke, but alot of players wouldn't even have chased it so he did earn it. but shit like this happens all the time in rugby.

  • Its bit of luck that the player got ball kicked into him but George Smith had to make it happen

  • So where was he supposedly offside? he was definitely behind Larkham when he kicked it.

  • hope england gets beaten by the pumas at the 2011 WC

  • its fluckey for FU**EN Lucky :)

  • George smith was probably Richie McCaws greatest rival

  • lol whatever bro.

  • lol no skill involve just a kick with a lucky bounce.

  • @superbill3001 thats why its a fluke dumbass

  • @iRoamGEEK dude your anal ain't you we all know its fluke. can't read the comments below.

  • @superbill3001 wtf did u just say, go back to school you slave

  • The name George Smith couldn't be more english, aha

  • what the fuck? is a fluky?

  • @TheLPadventures Fluky as in "in a fluke-like manner". A fluke is something that brings a positive result with little to no effort or intent. In short, it means lucky.

Smith was the guy that kicked it along the ground in the first place. Depending on how you choose to read into it, you could say he planned it all along. I think he was probably looking to kick it past the defensive line, not at it. Had it bounced awkwardly, it would've been a chance gone begging.

  • it was flukey 'cause how often do you see a ball bounce off of someones face and land practically straight in the hands of the opponent?

  • that was clearly a planned move

  • Im guessing your english then because english people see this as fluky everyone else say varndell fucked up

  • how is this flukey?? It looks flukey when you watch it first time but that english player does a ridiculous pass and quite frankly australia deserved the try for such a rubbish attempt at controlling the ball.

  • its like he is saiaa faingaa's dad or something haha :D

  • @aledooo123 He gets paid to play Rugby. That was fluke. Do one.

  • @aledooo123 Haha, so he planned for it to bounce off the passing player's face and then bounce up perfectly for him did he? Fucking moron..

  • George Smith was a beast back in the day.

  • offside????? no

  • pretty sure he meant to do it

  • you just call it flukey because ur english, and all english people claim every try against them is flukely

  • @jakerzissoocoollike i'm irish. look at my username

  • @georgiecasey all brits are together

  • @MrTahhmatee your clearly not British, we all fucking hate each other

  • @MrTahhmatee ireland is not part of britain , and most irish hate english people so gtfo

  • @jakerzissoocoollike im irish but no it was flukey cos the the bounce was just completley lucky

  • @irishguy547 It may be a fluke but rugby's a game of opportunity

  • @jakerzissoocoollike wait your seriously saying that this try isnt a fluke? LOL you are stupid

  • @jakerzissoocoollike that was flukey you fucking idiot, he dropped a simple catch and he was lucky to be in that position, or are you going to tell me that the australians had that all pre-meditated

  • @jakerzissoocoollike Now we don't but it was just a case of right place right time

  • @jakerzissoocoollike im aussie and it was pretty flukey to me

  • @jakerzissoocoollike so your saying its skill that he kicked it at his head and scored a try?

  • @Grierkid no its a set move lol

  • @Grierkid hahahahahahahaha

  • @jakerzissoocoollike and it is fluky, unless you are stupid enough to think that he aimed for the player so it would bounce up for him to score the try.. which i think you are.

  • @jakerzissoocoollike Youre american i guess? If so, why take everyones glory? Like when the Twin Towers collasped (im not being disespectful) you said it was the worst thing in American History, which to you is 20 years ago. To us English Citizens however we date back to 1000s of years .I gurrantee you that in 50 years or so, you, America, will claim that the world was made by America and that Christopher Columbos Was born in America.

  • @spoofinkids3

At what point did it become apparent that he was American?

  • @rothwellullathorne Well, what other country hates us?

  • @jakerzissoocoollike come on that was pretty damn lucky

  • @jakerzissoocoollike sorry mate are you blind? so fuckin ignorant...

  • @jakerzissoocoollike i hate arrogant aussies like u, ya bias fuck

  • @jakerzissoocoollike if you actually bother to look closely and stop complaining, both kicks rebounded off players (flukey) and then it just so happened that both bounces were perfect (also flukey)

  • who won this match ??

  • right place at the right time..

  • FUCK ENGLAND

  • man boobs bouncin

  • @aledooo123 like to see u catch a ball kicked full force from 5 metres

  • how was he offside he was the one that kicked it

  • lucky my azz...he got a dropped a ball...what a wanker for the fluky comment

  • @aledooo123 thats nothing new to me

  • that's not fluke, that's skill

  • lol he looks like the current australian no.2/hooker whats he called?

  • @moabdah9 Saia Fainga'a is the guy your thinking of

  • it is no fluke that george smith is all over a loose ball mid field... thats what he does!

  • larkham is ahead of george smith when he kicks it, so smith is not offside.

  • How is it flukey? You have to be there to score it. And the george smith is everywhere, thats why hes one of the best openside flankers in the world. While everyone is standing around watching, smith is like energizer bunny, always following the ball everywhere.

  • england suck balls

  • @beanorugger engalnd dont suck balls how do they any where else is more gayyy abit like yur dad m8!!!!!

  • @aledooo123 Be good to see you catch the ball behind your head without looking.

  • Fuk his dreads are harty ngati bey!

  • I had a little bit to do with the ACT Brumbies a few years ago, and I can tell you that George Smith was such a highly respected player amongst the other rugby players.

  • hahahaha....no offside at all, no wallaby player was infront of larkam when he kicks, George Smith came from behind...Idk wat the is the commentator is on about.

  • he looks like the predator from alien versus predator

  • @MrRugbyrox he is the real predator

  • but it wasn't offside, vandals charge down puts everyone onside.

  • sad to see him go, he's probably the best 7 aussie has ever had

  • butter fingers!!!

  • I don't know what's better. The try or the quality of your video... Your videos rule!

  • Rip the locks

  • all blacks will own aussie any day!

  • You all sound like girls. Our countries are supposed to be close with healthy competition but some dickheads take it to far. Sure theres a bit of banter but some people just dont know where the line is.I love australia/australians we are meant to be very close and all in all I would rather have this 'special relationship' with you (australia) than america.

  • england u play bitch rugby, your like the french in war times. all u do is kick and kick and kick and avoid conflict and then uyou get a penalty and you get ur marksman wilkenson up to kick it tho.. when u decide to man up england come talk to the sth hemisphere!

BTW i do like wilkinson's talent but i dont like him.

  • @MATT84z

Take it you haven't watched England for a few years then, mate?

Pull your head out of your arse, you're embarassing yourself, and giving Australian fans a bad name.

  • @Olyy what ever man my opinion and u wanna diss it then so be it u got ur own opinion. BUT.... do nont go abusing me and calling me a bad aussie fan over the internet man. that aint cool.

  • @MATT84z you're a convict.

  • @mollers92 whoopdi f****** do...honestly is that all u have?

mate ur suck a big man talking s*** over ur computer.

bro u r just a keyboard warrior, im no longer going to waste my time with you ppl.

  • @MATT84z well done for completely missing the point.

  • @murph1973 england still won though sucker!! Haha

  • @murph1973 McGeechan is Scottish, not English....

  • really average

  • @murph1973 so, just to be clear, no evidence of your own then? You sound like a complete misery, "Mate"

  • @murph1973 how and when have England "bigged themselves up". I'd really like to see some evidence of this, aside from the anecdotal banter that is thrown around blog sites and tabloid press.

    I'll eagerly await your response.

Which I expect will be more of the same vile ranting you bothered to write before, rather than a proper answer to the question....

  • i know everyone hates england in every sport and the true reson is because we are gods ¬!!!!

  • best try I have ever seen

  • Comment removed

  • i'm english. wasn't a fluke, we fucking suck these days.

  • @mollers92 We beat them the other week you dickhead 21-20

  • @aaaapaapt note, this was written before we beat them. We've been overall pretty piss poor since 03, with the odd blip in that pattern. Yeah, we beat them sure and we played well but we beat france badly in 09 and slipped back down. We've had the odd good game and everyone jumps on the "it's clicked" band wagon but we can't honestly call ourselves a top side again until we get a consistent run of victories. I'm not doing down the victory, but that comment was after our pretty poor loss to them.

  • good try

  • Why did Vandell stop chasing!!.... winging about the ball hitting him!!..that's shocking.

  • Suck on that England. A little lesson on try scoring for Johnny Wilkinson

  • @Zacnorn They will play together in TOP14 with Toulon next year,

  • This isn't a lucky try, he was the only one to gamble on the bounce of the ball, which is known to be unpredictable, and therefore deserves everything he got!

  • Smith looks like a Fuckin monster with his Dread locks ....

  • Yep Old George wasn't a bad player, when he wasn't late-tackling, obstructing and rabbit-punching players off the ball.

  • Play to the whistle lol that's all he done and he got a try

  • Lmao, offside or what? Everyone knew that, that's why England didn't bother to go for him...

  • its funny that if it was england had scored it they would say it was an amazing try

  • haha!! abit cheap but great!!!

  • Varndell you were at this time the fastest player in world rugby and hes a flanker chase him u lazy fucker

  • I'm English and I can't see how he's offside in any way here? It's him that kicks ahead. Anyone enlighten me otherwise?

  • @somerandomer- I'm Australian and that is offside because he kicks it into his own player that's in front of him.

  • @scubzz who kicks it into his own player? the ball hits tom varndell, an english player, and then george smith collects. aus players were ahead of the ball but they didn't affect the play.

  • @scubzz Put your glasses on, he kicks it and it hits off the English wingers head, goes nowhere near his own player. In no way shape or form is that offside

  • It's spelt POCOCK you bunch of knobheads below

  • It wud be funny if he lost the ball

  • gutted england

  • George smith is retiring but leat we got pockock that man is a beast

  • his name is David POPOCK

  • Shame hes retireing

  • He scored the "dread"ed 1st try.

  • That was George Smith that kicked it wasn't it?

  • stupid hair / good try

  • @mycal64 I am English and I'm a cunt, just like all the rest :)

  • @834373 with that kind of attitude you're not the usual kind of English cunt, so well done! : )

  • @mycal64 Hahaaa.. We'll lose the footy world cup and the rugby world cup and you can bet there will be an excuse. The ref will have cheated us or something :L

  • @mycal64 well said!

  • @mycal64 Aussies could do with a few more of those lately ey? fucking pussies

  • @aaaapaapt how does it feel to be outranked by ireland in the world rugby rankings? Oh and obviously South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and France

  • @mycal64

So why does everyone hate England so much ??

  • @mycal64 hahahahahahhahaha soo true

  • Richie McCaw and Jerry Collins would beat George Smith and Phil Waugh...

but George and Phil r still 2 of the worlds best flankers

  • yeah but they wouldnt beat elsom, and Mc Caw is good at cheating and not getting caught. that doesnt make him a great player

  • who's better, george smith or phil waugh?

  • george smith

  • @rollmop7

    Smith

  • his not offside

  • he wasn't offside at all. he kicked the ball

  • lol that was lucky that it hit our winger whos the winger?

  • tom varndell he plays for wasps now
