Malick's not a sympathetic character? Do you think that Dan's sympathetic, because he's "torn" about his attraction to Malick? Which ends up making Dan screw up in his role as a Consultant (with human beings lives in his hands)? Dan needs to get his head out of his ass before I can find anything sympathetic about him.
@Ugoeze Do you mean "brilliant" in the British sense or the American sense? A lot of viewers like Malick because of his sexuality. You sound like one of them.
@Elaiyel Lol, brilliant is brilliant to me, but since i'm British i guess i mean it in the British sense. I love Malick because of his no nonsense, kick arse, confident personality but i also love that underneath that exterior there's a vulnerability there. He cares about his patients and he always gives 110%, even in this case - he eventually gave that amount. To me he's a very layered and complicated character who i find very interesting to watch, his sexuality barely factors in it for me.
Oh, what a great episode! I love this chance to see right into the heart of who Malick is, both as a doctor and as a person. One moment I was laughing and the next I was moved to tears by his tenderness.
Poor Malick. That guy has some serious issues, and Malick's not a psychiatrist. How's he supposed to deal with this situation? Best as he can, I suppose.

Well, it's nice to know that we Americans do not have the lock on crappy medical procedurals.
