those attempts at getting up are so cute! i'm punching myself for not putting a surveillance camera up for my mare, she had it one morning and within 30mins, he was out and up on his feet and running! it's crazy how fast it all goes! :)
@horsemadder it's not the mother's job to get the filly up on her feet, it's the filly's job. if she doesn't stand up on her own, she will die. and the mare just gave birth, so what else is she supposed to do? prance around in the stall...?
Wonderful! We did not get to see Quinn this soon after he was born. I am sure he had to work for his first steps, too. Thank you for sharing this video.
Awe, thank you for sharing this with us! Leave it to mom to always find a corner in a large stall to have a foal. I couldn't help but cheer for this little guy when he tried to get up.

that little filly is adorable! i felt sad that it took awhile for it to stand up, but she eventually did.
the mare seemed like she knew that filly could stand up on her own, though, but amazing!!! i love it!!!
