Hey man, you sound like you have potential. All you need to do is get some improvisation language. Im not alan raph, but i am a bass trombonist that focuses on improv a lot. Check out curtis fuller on bluesette. Transcribe his solo on Bluesette and Undecided. Google bebop scale and ii-V-I turnaround. and check out my vids too :)
A misconceived notion about improving is that you always have to be playing something, but the rest are just as important as the notes themselves. Like Alan was saying listen to some guys, and if you hear something you like transpose it. It is always great to understand how what you play fits into the changes. Try to play just the arpeggios for each change through the song. Then once you have that under your fingers you will know what notes work best.
@happywalrus42 i didnt have a real video camera. it was a cheap kodak that didnt have a mic on the outside so all my old vids sound this way unfortunetly
listen to some jj jhonson if u want a lil jazz style

Nice jazz tone. You play the notes well.
You need to listen to more blues by other players (not necessarily trombone). Keep at it
