Why does he need security in Italy at all? Our Patriarch and head of the Serbian Church used to ride the bus and take walks daily through our capital when he was in good health. He used to be with the people. Why does Pope fear so much? Why so much security? It really looks ridiculous to me, sorry if anyone's offended.

I guess it is a good way to get a first class ticket. But again who pays for the Pope's visits. And who is paying for that U.S. Embassy at the Vatican. The Vatican is one man's house, the Pope. He is also the head of the Roman Catholic Church. So that is a gross violation of the 1st Amendment.
