can somebody tell me how does the logic in this movie works, not the dolls, but the houses, in the beginning, her dad was cutting his dad's tree, indicating they are next door neighbors, now they live across the street? and where are the other neighbors in all this, do they live on a movie set? what the hell?!

@javenetti I thought you meant in terms of the setting. They did use a real neighborhood, but of course it was emptied. If they had real people in there, everyone would be staring, watching the set and it would be too evident.
