I'm glad to know that tea party candidates aren't all crazy. The goals of the Tea Party are supposed to be small government, ending wars, and state's rights... and yet most of them run on a pro-war/pro-government spending platform. "Spend more money to fix more problems!"
People should know the Tea Party was originally started December 16, 2007, by the record-setting $6 million "money-bomb" for Ron Paul's 2008 campaign. It was invaded by a bunch of neo-cons.
Actually the tea party started in 1773 in boston, when colonist's threw there shipments of tea in to the boston river in protest of taxation with out representation(Boston tea party)
this is great ... we need to stop the corporate loop holes ... we need more Republicans like this guy. The Republican party has become the party for big business and small business gets screwed
@Martintfre I think the title was misleading. Mr. Davis said the tea party has been very receptive to his ideas.
I hope that the rational and practical elements of the Tea party, Occupy wall street, and all other outraged groups can get together on this issue which seems, to me at least, to be the biggest problem our country has with the way our system works.
If we can all put our lesser concerns on the back burner for a while and work together we can get money out of politics in no time.
privitization is more expensive it increases costs to the tax payers for example you might as well pay your taxes to privite coporations than the goverment
there is no constitusional protections under such conditions
your just excanging one burocrocy for another most corporations just can not provide public services at a cheaper cost than goverment im not saying its perfect but some systems are better than others
just cause communism collapsed does not mean that laissez faire is the best system
there has never been and never will be a laissez faire system there has always been goverment intervention in the economy smaller goverment is a great thing im all for it
do we want a goverment that serves the people or big weathy corporate intrests?
its an old saying i once heard never increase taxes during a recesstion never cut taxes cause that will hurt your state
realize that class war is a real thing im not promoting it but im not dening it
sure there will be those who will play the marxist card
im not envy cause certain indivividuals have more than others thats not the case
the case is there are folks who don't want to be rich they just want to be able to put food on the table and provide for there familys do they ever get a break? hell no i just want to live with dignity
the super rich have to many cars and boats and houses
these corprate welfare kings are leeching of the federal budget increasing the deficet money is being takin out of respectubel social programs to support there lifestyle's
while these rich assholes pay littile or no taxes at all
its all ways blame the single mothers the immagrints sure there are some lazy people out there but there are people who are willing to work and there are plenty
Tom, corporate welfare is corporate welfare whether it is in Washington or in South Carolina. It has to stop. Our tax system is completely broken and I applaud your efforts to bring this effort to the forefront. Tax payers simply cannot continue to carry the burden of constantly growing government any longer. This year SC Taxpayers will fund the payout of 20% of our entire state budget to special interests? What is wrong with this picture?
Tom Davis is a democrat plant. Sanford's chief of staff. Tea party folks know about this. They should look into the cozy relationship between Obama and Immelt.
@ObamaFucksGoats If there is any tax loophole for union, which only comprises a few misery percentage of workers, it pales compare to what corporations are getting away with. So wail on that because people are waking up to the fact that they are being shafted by a few at the expense of all.
This was out right awesomeness. He could not have said this any better. I think this is how we all truly see it, but then we put on the damn partisan glasses and it the vision get's blurry.
Yep. I would vote for this guy too. Thanks Tom.

Fools - the tea party IS outraged by government give aways.
The McCain support for the bail outs was proof to all but the true believers that there was no one for small sane government.

in the 40's and 50's 60's america's standerd of living was high it wasn't perfect
the reason it was high was because the super rich paid there fair share in the taxcode
and guess what they still got to be millionares and so on
james1014328 8 months ago
i don't see why we shouldn't give middle class and working class people tax breaks cause there standerd of living is crashing down
its the spending of money from those sectors of socity that creates jobs in the first place
giving tax cuts to the already rich does not create well paying jobs or any jobs for that matter period
james1014328 8 months ago
all this fear of a marxist take over well i got news for you
understand that we already live in a system of redistrabustion of weath
from the bottom to the top we already live in a marxist system
all politicans are prostitues just most of them
and a great deal of are economic problems is caused by greed and speculation not just grants and subsides
finance capital is the problem not productive capital
this country has went from production to consumption
