@A7XHellBlaze You should definitely tutorial the entire song. Or at least everything but the solo if that's too time consuming. Amazing tutorial. Keep up the good work.
Hey, im just wondering, have you got a recording of almost easy recorded in drop d? I was listening to my live version that was released with the downloadable ep of almost easy which also came with "walk", and realised, its not in drop C# but in drop d :O they must have changed ti before they recorded it for the album lol
This song was recorded in Drop Db, which is C#. You can always play it in Drop D, but it sounds out of tune if you play it with the music. But sorry, I don't have a recording of this song in Drop D and this tutorial is the slowest its going to get. What you can do is just pause it at certain points :) Good luck.
yeah, album version is recorded in drop c# (db) I have the album, but i also have a live track that was played by avenged sevenfold in drop d at warped tour 2007 i think, before they released the album. its on iTunes if you want to check it out. its under "almost easy - ep"
Its weird at first, but its pretty good. Not many people seem to know about this for some reason :S
and it wasnt the intro i was meaning, it was the solo part i was talking about if you would make a video of that.
Oh, the warped tour, maybe they played Almost Easy in Drop D because Syn and Zacky didn't have back-up guitars that were tuned to Db. But I can't find it on Itunes, they all are the same. And I don't know if I can do the solo of this song yet because I'm not good at sweep picking yet, when I do, then I'll think of putting up the tutorial :)
Hey, I see you have switched from EMGs to Seymour Duncan Blackouts; I am wanting new pickups but I'm stuck between the Active EMGs and the Active Seymour Duncan Blackouts what do you suggest me get?
Yea I switched because I wanted more of an organic tone from actives. It depends on you what you want, EMG's are clearer and brighter, Blackouts are heavy on all lows, mids, and highs. EMG's are very sterile, but Blackouts are extremely sensitive. I don't know which has better sounding harmonics, they are about even. A lot of metal players use EMG's, only a few use Blackouts. Hope that helps a bit in your decision.
It's not a dumb question. The term "tremolo" is a wave effect in musical tone and the tremolo bar is also known as the whammy bar. For this intro, you sort of need the tremolo bar to make the sound dive either lower or make it higher pitched. You might be able to see it better in some other videos of mine.
You say Soulja Boy, I say Bullet For My Valentine
You say Miley Cyrus, I say killswitch engage
You say Britney Spears, i say Disturbed
You say Jonas Brothers, i say ur a homo, they suck
92 % of kids have turned to rap, pop, and hip hop. If your one of the 8 % who like to headbang and ROCK OUT, copy and paste to 4 videos. Unless your one thats scared to stand up for real music.
You're welcome :) It's a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR, if you check out my recent videos, it looks even nicer because it's better quality :) But the EMG's you see in this video have been replaced.
Well first you have to take time off and heal your fingers. Second, to fix the bleeding problem, you can switch your strings to Ernie Ball skinny top heavy bottom strings which are just a little thicker on the high e string. Third, you have to make sure you are on a solo setting with volume turned up high and that you have enough gain for that extra sustain when sliding. Hope that helps a bit :)
Why thank you very much! I don't know why, but so many people want to learn this intro. I don't blame them though, it's an awesome song and I am happy to help! If only I was good enough to play the solo too...
hey, what is tuned to DROP 1/2?

im new, so i dont know so much.

Oh so let me get this straight. Tremolo is the same as whammy?
itsallgood239 2 years ago
Yea, basically. The tremolo bar is the actual piece of hardware, whammy is just name for what your doing with the bar.
A7XHellBlaze 2 years ago
Oh, I never even knew that.
Thanks man.

thats killer but u dont need that slide at the end like that slide too 16th or 21st
LPGDICP 3 years ago
Thanks! Well the 16th was from the tab book, but the 21st was from one of A7X's concerts :)
A7XHellBlaze 3 years ago
haha no im not saying the 16th wrong
its just not a slide its just -16- not /16
LPGDICP 3 years ago
Oh yea haha, just did the slide for kicks because if you don't have a delay pedal, it sounds sort of funny :)
A7XHellBlaze 3 years ago
thanks for the vid but when i slide theres not much sound unless my fingers bleed
i got a crate xt15r what can i do with it to get that sound?
smjx216 3 years ago

A7XHellBlaze 3 years ago
AMP
try maxing the gain, bass/low, and treble/high, Put you mid at about half. A little reverb would help
GUITAR
Neck pickup on for the solo, Tone at about half.
I have a Crate GX-15, Crates are nice
Rocket1771 3 years ago
i was exaggerating about the bleeding
thanks tho xD
