  • Then. Six months later, we took back the house. Now, in November, we will take the senate, and the white house.

  • I can't believe the president of the united states would say something as unprofessional and petty as that

  • VOTE RON PAUL IF YOU WANT CHANGE

  • I'm far from an Obama supporter (very, very, far in fact) but I chuckled at this.

  • but what Iran is building nukes and they use them to wipe Israel of the map?

  • @omega4chimp Hey, better them than us. We have our own problems and need to stop trying to be the savior for everyone else.

  • @omega4chimp Who cares?

  • @omega4chimp

Hey genius. Israel already has nukes and an airforce TOTALLY capable of dealing with that themselves

  • I wish Republicans would stick to their word and actually be "fiscally conservative". They account for $10 trillion out of the $14 trillion gross public debt. All they do is cut taxes for the rich, thinking it's going to stimulate the economy, but it never does! Reaganomics should've taught you a lesson. Reagan and both Bush's cut taxes and they also added more to the national debt than any other President in history. Clinton balanced the budget and G-Dubya created another deficit.

  • Is it just me or is Obama sounding more and more like Bill Cosby?

  • If republicans drove the car into the ditch, then Democrats have wired the car with C4 and drove it off a cliff.

Its funny, because the majority of Americans feel that way too, Look at the elections. The numbers don't lie. We want Obama out, and the rest of his liberal retarded friends.

  • @YouAreSoReallyDumb Welcome!

  • @YouAreSoReallyDumb Tell me how Democrats figuratively "blew the car up"? Republicans were voted out of office for destroying the economy. George W. Bush took a $227 billion budget surplus and turned it into a trillion dollar deficit by the end of his term. Bush and his Republican led congress also passed the largest entitlement plan the US has seen since Medicare itself, via "Medicare Modernization Act of 03 and he didn't have the money to pay for it. Now we owe an extra $550 billion.

  • Trust me do your research OBAMA and progressives have a hidden agenda, it is not all what he says. Do not believe everything that is said.

  • Obama and the Dems have driven us into the ditch, caused by policies that Barney Frank caused with Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac, check your facts. Frank created a policies for easy credit for people who had no business owning a house, this collasped the housing market. Barney Frank should have been voted out of office.

  • Alas..America foolishly gave them the "keys" back ! Why ? Because you did´nt keep your word Mr- President !!

  • Question how many liberals does it take to get a car out of a ditch????????

  • @2012vote all of them since conservatives were the once that put it there

  • @evilnurse09 Which parties policies creating the housing industry to collaspe?

  • @evilnurse09 Please if you think all our problems were caused by the right then you are very uninformed. Stop being a bobblehead and do some research you can start by watching the PBS Frontline special called the "The Warning" The left had a lot to do with it can you say Community Reinvestment Act the left owns the housing mess. Acorn Fannie and Freddie = Barney and the Dems.

  • @2012vote THANK YOU!

  • @2012vote

EXACTLY CORRECT my friend! Bush is on record 18 times--YouTube, Congressional Quarterly, C-Span, etc. wanting to CLAMP DOWN on the Govt. Sponsored Entities like Fannie/Freddie. Check the chronology, once the Dumb-old-craps took the Congress in '06, all Hell broke loose & the "fairness" of giving renters homes they couldn't pay back, caused the crisis--thank you Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Dodd. Franklin Raines, Obama stooge, got severence of $90 Million leaving Fannie! Fair?????

  • All you have to do to every one of his speeches is switch republican with democrat and they make perfect sense. If you keep that in mind when listenig to him you know exactly what he means.

  • There OBAMA goes again blaming Bush and the Republicans. We are in the ditch becasue of the "FAILED POLICIES OF THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION". By making statements like this is no way to pull this country together. Vote Convervative Republican candidates so we can stop this OBAMINATION.

  • @redwhiteandblues questions:

what was the estimated year that our recession began?

who were the once that controlled the gov't at that time?

finally: when did the recession start to decrease in severity?

  • @evilnurse09 The estimated year was 2007.

Who were the ones that controlled gov at that time? The Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate.

finally: When did the recession start to decrease in severity? The recession has not decreased it has remained at around 9.6 percent unemployment, with a change in congress I believe the unemployment rate will drop but not dramatically until we clean out the Executive Branch of the house.

Keep in mind congress has much more influence.

  • Congress controls the purse strings. The dems have had the majority in Congress since the 2006 election. The catalyst for the mortgage debacle was the CRA, signed by Carter in 1977 and enforced by Clinton in 1994. If I hear how "the GOP drove the economy into the ditch" one more time I'm going to throw up.

  • YEAH WE WANT THE KEYS BACK BEFORE YOU DRIVE THE CAR OFF THE CLIFF! THEN THERE IS NO FIXING IT!!! STUPID OBAMA

  • give them theyre keys back!! cuz yo ass the swamp man!!

  • ok so so redlining the pos ford into a muddy ditch untill it throws a rod really fixes the problem.

  • "we just got the car out" My butt! if anything its even more stuck how about we call a tow truck (ron Paul) and tow it out!

  • Ohhh yaaa monkeys can so drive better >:(

  • Oh baa ma... : Hypocrite-Coward-Liar-Cooperator

    Here' a more balanced analogy...

...Giving money and power to GOVERNMENT (.) is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.

    -- P.J. O'Rourke, Civil Libertarian

Only the foolish and cowardly haven't admitted their folly in falling for this "used-establishment salesman"...

  • That car is likely going nowhere even if its out the ditch. Not with republicans+media scaring the public & blasting the pres. everytime a new idea is presented. All their thinking about is blocking needed change & keeping it all the same for a 2012 retake and how they can make Obama look like the worst president instead of working for a better tomorrow. Sad think is its starting an awful slowmoving trend as Democrats are likely to do the same media-terrorizing for a 2016 retake.

  • Want change? Nope, still too many Republicans. Time to vote 'em out!

  • @GodlessLiberals I'll do my part in Nashville of voting against the extreme, partisan, divisive, no-compromise, never-getting-anything-done Republican/Tea Party. The silent Democratic majority is much stronger than a few extreme, religious nuts.

  • @p2proxtheworld HAHAHAH YOUR FUNNY, WELL WE ARE NOT GOING TO LET SOMEONE TEAR OUR COUNTRY DOWN, WE GOT THE KEYS BACK!!!!!!

  • @goigoitoy Eh, now nothing will get done, and because of that, Obama will be re-elected and there will be an edge for Democrats in 2012 after they see the same, old ways of the '00-'08 Republicans of favoring corporations over the people. At least now we will be able to blame Republicans when nothing gets done while they control the House. If you thought nothing got done before and it couldn't get any worse, wait 'til you see '00-'12 . This is actually good news for Democrats for 2012. :))

  • @p2proxtheworld i dont think so, im glad things will be put on hold before we loose more money then we already dont have!! and i think people will thing twice when they vote in 2012, i could bet my bottom dollar obama wont be re-elected.

i wish our first black president was Mr. M.L King

  • @p2proxtheworld Check your records the DEMS are the ones who back big business and big labor that is a large part of their base. Most of Wall Street are actually Democrats. What is needed done cut gov entitlements gov agencies, lower all taxes, go on a flat rate tax. Get rid of OBAMACARE, that will stimulate the economy and bring back jobs. Stop redistribution of wealth. Stop the DEMS from borrowing money to fund social programs and getting us in debt.

  • @p2proxtheworld Finally some1 wit sum sense on utube. The republicans wanna stop everything Obama wanna do so they can say: look, he didn't do anything. Well, we are watching Reps. We see u saying no 2 all of his plans. If u wanna say he failed, let him pass his bills like Bush did dat way we'll no Obama's plan failed. If he got nothing done becuz u didn't let him do anything, then its all ur fault. We'll believe u r the hindrance 2 the change dat we believed in.

  • @goigoitoy You didn't get the keys back, you are just sitting in the passenger seat now whereas you were in the back before.

  • @p2proxtheworld And what do you want done by Obama and the Democrats, more government, more regulations, more taxes?

  • @p2proxtheworld ... Really? Where were they in November?

  • @GodlessLiberals What drove the car in the ditch was progressive policies of the Democratic party. Tax borrow regulate and more goverment is what put the car in the ditch and the wheels are still spinning because of these transfer of wealth policies and increased gov spending due to OBAMACARE. Vote out OBAMA and all DEMS and get rid of OBAMACARE the car will move again.

  • @GodlessLiberals

Thank GOD that YOU got voted out. Thank GOD. Worst defeat in 70 years. Fewest Dumb-old-craps in House since 1934! Ain't it grand? Still more to come in 2012! Y'all are losers, and 2008 was an aberration, showing that we have mindless, robotic sheep for voters..as evidenced by the young lady at the Obama rally in '08 who said, "With Obama, I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage, or filling my gas tank. If I take care of him (voting blindly) he'll provide for me!"

  • @GodlessLiberals Im good with change but not obamas kind. Im a republican

  • @GodlessLiberals Will do = )

  • Obama's use of this analogy is a symptom of the problem with all politicians; the economy is not a car to be driven by any narsasistic ego maniac. The free-market is a force of human nature, like the waves in the ocean. Surfers can ride the ebbs and flows with great sucess, but those who try to alter their course only waste their energy.

  • The car was in the ditch. Obama got in, started the engine, put it in drive and floored it. As of now, the car has dug in up to it's windows. Somebody needs to get him out of there and take those keys away from him before he buries it completely.

  • As much as I like Clinton, he should have kept his D in his pants! If he did so, Bush probably wouldn't have driven the car. But I'm glad Obama now has it!

  • lmao! Oh man I love Obama, he's awesome :D

  • Going into the 2008 Election, I knew it would take two terms to clean up the mess that Bush created in his two terms. Unfortunately, you have Republicans who want President Obama to fail by rejecting every single plan he has offered. Some of it due to politics and the party line. Some of it is due to wanting Obama to fail so people would think twice about voting for a Black man. Rush Limbaugh, a known bigot, openly wished Obama would fail.

  • Obama lying again. It was the Democrats who controlled Congress prior to his election as presidente. The congress controls economic policy. It was the Demoncrats who drove the car when it went into the ditch. Besides that, it appears to have been deliberate so that the mostly unknowing masses could be lied to (as Obama is doing in this clip) about who make the mess.

The Democrats did it. Obama is a lie.

  • @fsmdud How is Obama lying? When Bush took office (or stole office), the country was not in debt. It had a surplus. It was the Republicans who de-regulated the financial policies. It was the Republicans who supported the war in Iraq based on WMDs that didn't exist. Although we have a ways to go, Obama stopped the economy from turning into the Great Depression II. You are full of it.

  • lol, 9.6% unemployment and rising. Go Obama!

  • You have to wonder if Obama is really this stupid or if one of his handlers just fed him a bad laugh line.

  • They drove the car into the ditch and they want the keys back ?

    == This man is a moron !

  • You have to give the Republicans and their inadequate regulation credit for having driven the car into the ditch. Now the Democrats come to power. They strip out the stereo, seats, battery, and wheels, pour

gasoline on it and light it. Then they blame the Republicans . . . for driving it into the ditch." - WSJ

  • My definition of Hope and Change was completely different from Obama's. I wish I would have known (and we still don't know) what his definition was.

  • @littleseabass2003 You know...many of us saw what he really was from the beginning...just not enough of us.

He had the kind of charisma and affability that made you want to project all your hopes onto, regardless of whether he initially defined it aptly or not. That's the cult of personality. And it was the problem, too. He was everything to everyone. But you CAN'T be everything to everyone. It's impossible without being a lying hypocrite. So what you get is an empty suit who placates.

  • He says the Republicans drove car into the ditch... well the Democrats are driving the car over a CLIFF.. I can get a car out of a ditch.. but when you drive it over a cliff.. the car canot be fixed.

SO while Obama, Pelosi and Reid are re- enacting the final scene on "Thelma and Louise" November I and millions of other Americans will be getting a tow truck to get the car out of the ditch. Hopefully it isnt tooo late.

  • He says the Republicans drove car into the ditch... well the Democrats are driving the car over a CLIFF.. I can get a car out of a ditch.. but when you drive it over a cliff.. the car canot be fixed.

  • I didn't know it was up to Obama to decide who gets the keys to the car. I always thought it was up to the American people but what do I know.

  • @littleseabass2003 It is, that's how we voted Obama into office. Obama and the majority of America just doesn't want the country to get ruined again by Republicans. At least they're good at something, along with wrongly making up that Obama is a Muslim, from Kenya and a terrorist ::rolls eyes:: That's about all they can do is start some paranoid conspiracies up and try to scare people like some religious terrorists. Now, go use your 2nd Amendment remedies now since you dislike fair elections.

  • @p2proxtheworld Well, he sure makes it sound like it's up to him who gets the keys. This guy is going to be a one term President. I thought GWB was bad but this guy is easily worse.

  • @p2proxtheworld : oh silly little strawman, you still believe the different sides of government have different agendas. It doesn't matter who gets elected, the same shit will get done. If the president opposes, they get shot. Go back and watch Obama campaign speeches and ads, then compare that with what he's doing in office. Obama is doing what McCain said he'd do. The illusion of choice gave you two sides, then gave you one outcome. The Elite's outcome.

  • @littleseabass2003 You're right you don't know

  • @littleseabass2003 Obama FINALLY grows a pair of balls, and that is your response? Obama is in desperate need of a spine transplant, he needs more of this sort of behavior not less. Did you forget the american people are the ones who chose HIM to be the leader of the country?

  • Note to Obama: Nobody believes you anymore. You have lost all credibility. Although you get off on your speeches, we all see through it now. Let the ship, the democratic party, sink for you cannot save it. You and they have proven yourselves incompetent. In any other job, you would be fired by now. Lucky for you, you are in the government.

  • I got bad news for you, Obastard! THE KEYS DON'T BELONG TO YOU EITHER! YOU DO NOT DECIDE WHO'S GOING TO DRIVE! WE DO! Period.

  • @QuartuvLarry Yeah, and we picked Obama to drive.

  • @p2proxtheworld And now we're going to take away his keys too.

  • @p2proxtheworld An we did pick Obama, we didn't steal and election with a crooked brother in Florida running the elections boards.

  • Comment removed

  • @QuartuvLarry ......

  • @QuartuvLarry If you truly believe that, the you and the rest of the country is fooling itself. Out country is bought and paid for by the corporations.

  • @theallseeingoracle Doesn't mean we shouldn't fight back

  • @QuartuvLarry Agreed, but we need people with money to back us up.

  • @theallseeingoracle WE need to make that money ourselves. All wealth comes from the ground.

  • It's Bush's fault ... that is a solution for more jobs

It's Bush's fault ... that is a solution for terrorist attacks.

It's Bush's fault ... that is a solution for Republicans not helping to destroy America.

It's Bush's fault ... that is a solution for the Gulf oil disaster.

It's Bush's fault ... that is a solution for my disapproval rating.

It's Bush's fault ... that is a solution for everything.

Don't we wish we could so easily do this at our job, with our boss ... WOW I want a job like that

  • Is it just me who think it is funny that Bush was in office for 8 months when 9-11 occurred and it was his fault, and Clinton who had the last 8 years was blameless? But we are in to 18 months of Obama and everything is Bush’s fault and Obama is blameless.

How many people actually think in 2012 Obama will not still be the anti-Bush candidate? Trying to pretend that Bush was actually the president from 2008-2012.

I would not be surprised if Obama blamed bush if his dog pees on his bed.

  • @TheZachish The effects of the Bush-Cheney rampage of the economy and their policies have and will last many years after they left office. But, you say blame Obama, not Bush for all of this, it's all Obama's fault, the recession, etc.The problem is that Republicans can't ever take responsibility for anything and just blame anyone but themselves instead of admitting any mistakes. Obama has helped the economy greatly with his policies and will only further help the economy and the country.

  • @p2proxtheworld no I am hardly a die hard bush fan much of what he did I took issue with... my problem is with how Obama is blameless and will always be so, his countless stimulus' have failed like many said they would but that is also Bush's fault I guess.

While Bush should get sum of the blame for 9-11 so should Clinton,

But back to the economy let's not forget the "dot-com bubble" which climax on March 10, 2000, but I guess that was Bush's fault also. wikipedia it if you must.

  • @p2proxtheworld Dems took over in 07, and spent like crazy! W had unemployment at 5.4% and that was considered high! Community reinvestment act. Franks and Dodd, are CROOKS! BHO has driven us off the cliff!

  • @TheZachish Do you not remember the right blaming 9/11 on Clinton? This despite an ignored August 6, 2001 (who was President then?I'll give you a hint--he was in Crawford, TX) memo stating "Bin Laden determined to attack in US"?

  • @cellardoor31 you mean determined like he already had done in 1993? Wow that was a news flash it had been predicted for years that that would be the target do to past failure and what it represented to the people.

lol kind of like Harry Potter was obviously Voldemort’s target for the exact same reasons. One did not need a prophecy to figure that out.

Crawford was as functioning a HQ as Camp David which is as good as the WH.

  • @TheZachish Obama is blameless? What news channels are you watching?

    The public is CRUCIFYING Obama.

    You included.

Why is Obama so guilty after a year and a half when it took bush 8 years to cause this mess? And somehow Obama is more to blame than Bush is?

    Shut up.

  • @JamalDOA when Obama’s divine stimulus... sorry recovery bill passed this became his economy. 8 years? who do you assign most of the blame for 9-11 to Bush or Clinton? my gut tells me despite Clintons 8 years and Bush's 8 months you blame Bush for it all.

Also do you forget that the dot com bubble busted right before Bush came in office then 9-11 happened, one might think those had some affect on the economy… don’t you?

  • @TheZachish This isn't "blame the last president" game. This is look at the facts and look who fucked up and drove our country's economy in to a shithole, and blame him. Simple isn't it? So yea, it's fucking Bush's fault and the republican leadership and their corporate paymasters that the republicans sold US, the people to.

  • @Naminator236 what a odd world you live in were you ignore mitigating circumstances the Dot Com bubble popped on March 10, 2000, 9-11 occurred and Barney Frank said Fannie was just fine... and the Fed (which answers to no one) was sitting on its thumbs watching porn.

Yes the economy took a dive there after, and no Bush was not perfect and blameless and he spent way too much but let’s not ignore some major factors in this just because it is convenient.

  • Obama is playing the drunk guy who insists on driving because the other guy is also drunk.

  • Now that the car is in the ditch....Obummer put it up on blocks & is taking the tires off of it !

  • The President is only telling the truth. but just how blnd will America continue to be?!?

  • Everything is a joke to Barry. Always mocking American citizens. Why is he trying to sound 'folksy' because he's not.

I prefer it when he's on the golf course, that way we don't have to listen to his slurs on American citizens.

  • I haven't ever been much of a fan of that conciliatory worm, but this definitely brings a smile to my face.

  • Hahaha! Thats Great! I love you Mr. President. No! Republicans Cant Drive! Never Again! World Peace & Love xoxox

  • 1. Smaller government is not a bad thing. It's not the size of the government that matters as much as how efficient and appropriate it is. I think the gov't should be looking at big korp with a 10,000v. cattle prod up the back end, and leave those who are working their way up the ladder alone, for the most part, and they should stay the hell out of interpersonal affairs.

    2. WHAT is right is much more important than WHO is right.

  • Keep in mind that extremists live on both sides of the political fence.

  • PERFECT.

He's 100% right. This is what Republicans always do, they ruin the economy and then when Democrats try to fix it, they blame everything on the Democrats. This is a very long Republican plan to shrivel government down to the size of Mitch McConnell's tiny (eye)balls. They do this every time a Democrat takes office.

  • Have you teabagged your favorite RepubliCUNT today?

  • Well if the GOP is full of bad drivers, what about good ole' Uncle Teddy? At least we didn't drive drunk, end up in a river, and kill an innocent woman. Oh wait, that's in the past and it doesn't matter, unless it happened when George Bush was in office. 979 days until B. Hussein Obama is out of office!

  • I understand. Yes it would be great to hear the whole speech. Very refreshing for him to put down that horrible toxic to society party for once. It's a corporate media so the majority of watchers never know just how bad things are unless he (Obama) says talks about it... because the press is forced into covering him.

  • @thepopoman Yes, Republicans are really horrible and just want the same old tired, partisan politics unlike Obama, whom wants unity. They don't want that because they know they are far too extreme and out of the mainstream to be happy with a moderate, middle-of-the-road result. They want it their way or no way, which is why we must vote MORE Democrats in, not less.

  • @p2proxtheworld Yes Yes ! They are too irrational to really to be swayed by logic or facts. I think they should be rounded up and put into their own country with their own kind for a while and see how they like being with just themselves. They should want that. What we really need to do is get the powerful special interest greed money out of our government and get a fair press that isn't biased toward the right wing. Then the extremests would be rendered insignificant,... without power.

  • @thepopoman +1 Their country would be about as bankrupt as America was when Bush left office. they'd have no regulations, nothing. And yes, I do I hate money in politics. It's so ridiculous and money could best be spent elsewhere. It's bribery and corruption. Corporations can only play the game, while an average American can't play and get their voice heard because they don't have a million dollars to "influence" a politician. (continued...)

  • @p2proxtheworld For sure! The worst thing about Republicans (middle class) is it really isn't about the issues... they are insecure about everything and the most important thing for them is to make sure people DON"T get things and to keep the status quo (because of fear of change and empowering others). Case in point: Obama lowered their taxes but they still voted for McCain.

  • @thepopoman About the fair press, I personally happen to think that Republicans just don't like the facts and have to start their own media, like Fox News, to try to slant and alter the facts in their favor.

  • @p2proxtheworld Agreed.

  • @thepopoman Wow, last time i heard talk like that was in Nazi Germany! Maybe Obama should start working on fixing some problems instead of polishing up his stand-up comedy routine and blaming everyone else.

  • @thepopoman wow, that kind of talk sounds like Nazi Germany! Obama ought to spend more time working on some of the problems facing the country rather than working on his stand up comedy routine and stop blaming everyone else.

  • @thepopoman: The President was only telling the truth....but just how blind will America continue to be?!?

  • Why did you cut it after he named the "Republicans" as the "they"?

For the first time he actually named the "Republicans" specifically.

  • @thepopoman I think we all know what party he is referring to, but also, this flash video from Countdown with Keith Olbermann had only the part you see at the beginning and it was difficult to cut/split the flash video. This part is what I was looking for but I would like to see/upload the entire speech.

  • Great clip, but President Obama should have known the Republicans are corrupt to the core. They don't give a flying fig about the well-being of the nation; all they care about is more profit for the biggest corporations and the wealthiest 2 percent -- their "base."

  • @zamaz99 ya, it's sad but what can you do? maybe if we had ron pauls son in office things would be better!

  • u guys have to be kidding me! has racked up more debt in 1 year than 150yrs of presidents. Look at Nancy's eyes an tell me somebodies home. Your guys r fools and the republicans before that r fools. They r all thieving and corrupt!!

  • @kalashnikovog I think you're thinking of George W. Bush, but Obama has had to spend money for economy because it was in such bad shape after Bush bankrupted America.

  • @p2proxtheworld Oh yeah, that makes perfect sense. We are in a recession, no matter who might have caused it. When common sense kicks in, we see that you CAN'T SPEND MONEY WHEN YOU HAVE NONE! And guess what, WE HAVE NONE. No matter how much you hope and pray, you can't spend your way out of debt.

  • He speaks such Truth, the Wonderful President Obama!

  • @witchwild Yes, he does and will be one of our greatest presidents.

  • @p2proxtheworld Absolutely true!

  • @p2proxtheworld No he doesn't and no he won't be.
