  • Great! it took me ages to find a way to enter in download mode, you made it sol easy! Thanks!

  • thank you very much man,,you made it easy for so many people to get the phone into download mode..i did upgrade my galaxy s 4g from tmobile to 2.3 but some minor problems ; like when i call i dont see the dialed history the bluetooth have to go to setting meue for it..now i want to downgrade it..i was wondering if you can show us how to downgrade it...thank you.

  • i have a vibrant locked to tmobile , if i change the rom will it be unlocked¿?¿? thanks!!

  • thanks so much i got my vibrant reflased and everything seems to be working, thanks so much

  • I have three questions that I would be grateful for if answered:

    1. If I do this and it is successful, will I be able to upgrade my firmware naturally (like through "Kies Mini")?

    2. What is the likelihood of flashing my phone to stock being unsuccessful?

    3. Will this remove "Clockworkmod"? As that is the whole reason I'm even considering flashing my phone. To remove "Clockworkmod"...

  • Why did you use odin to get stock firmware on the phone? doesn't the phone already have stock firmware on it?

  • @Crowz I was on custom firmware at the time, Going back to stock with Odin is a way to do a fresh install. At least how I like to do it =]

  • Great tutorial!!! unfortunately it is still looping the vibrant screen :(.... i am seeking every answer possible for myself but i really need help on this pls

  • I have the latest MIUI rom on my Vibrant but I am not happy with the battery life so I want to go back to the stock rom. Should I disable the Voodoo Lagfix before I follow your step or just keep it the way it is. And try to Install stock rom with you method I got in to the download mode it show comp 4 on my odin but it get stuck on the File analysis wat should be the problem.

  • @bynumezshop Hi there, you do not need to disable voodoo lagfix. Using odin it will rewrite to the stock RFS file system, make sure to select repartition when you do so. If you get stuck at file analysis, it happens. Its happened to me before. You need to get your phone back into download mode and try try try again. If you use my method of getting into download mode, you shouldn't have any problems. Also make sure you have the latest samsung vibrant usb drivers, Good luck!

  • Great vid

I have I9000 from bell (canada), will the t-mobile version work on my phone?

    Thanks a bunch

  • @Xtrell That is an excellent question, Try doing some research via XDA Developers, I am in the US and only have a Vibrant so that's what I'm familiar with.

  • odin passes but my phone will not go past the boot screen vibrant samsung plz

    help

  • thanks a mill you saved my fone

  • Thank you for this! you saved me! I was having trouble with my custom 2.2 and was unable to add/remove files on to the SD card. That is how I originally flashed it (through putting a new ROM on my sd card) and was scared that I wasn't going to be able to fix it ever.

The only thing I would add is that you must have the samsung drivers installed in order for ODIN to read your phone. I was able to do some googling to help me out with that though :) Thanks again!

  • is this video work on samsung vibrant T959?

  • @bjnzzzle Yes, as it says in the title "Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant."

  • YOU ARE THE MAN!

    THANKS, BRO!

  • @mrrealer Thanks for dropping by, Glad to help out!

  • were did you get the stock rom and pit and w.e ( im new to this) i want to flash darky's rom V9.2 but im not rooted and i want to know what to have if it bricks or if i want to go back to stock unroot.

    Kernel: 2.6.32.9

    shout.lee@SEP-09 #3

    thanks in advance.

  • @Aiirikx The stock rom & pit are available though the XDA devoleper forum.

  • @codysteele88 the only roms i can find are us, europe and other, none are canadian. does it make a diff if its from a US rom and i flash to 2.1 and update via KIES to the latest 2.2.1? im a total noob at this flashing stuff :P

  • how long does it takes??

  • @raysaul its that a problem if i use odin 1.7???

  • @raysaul You might want to use odin 3 v10, thats what i use and it always works.

  • hey it doesn't matter if i use the odin 1.7???

  • Hey do you know how to restore the galaxy s vibrant

  • @ferrari07220 Yes, what do you have a question about?

  • Yes... Flashing Your Samsung Galaxy S Will Take You're Cellphone Back To Stock.. meaning.. Just How You Got It From The Box.. I Flashed My Fascinate With DL09 Via Odin And It Worked Perfectly .. ;) .. Good Luck To All..

  • @CaRaGuaTaY1985 Alright sounds awesome! =] Thanks for stopping in

  • @codysteele88 .. No Problem ... ;) Anytime..

  • is this wipeout all your contacts in your phone

  • @xxxsuperseriesxxx No, Since you have a Gmail account and save your contacts via google. Once you complete this process and re-login to your gmail account. All of your contacts will by synced with your device!

  • is this wipeout your contacts data in your phone?

  • Will This Work On Verizon's Galaxy S Too ? Thanks .. Great Job On The Tutorial .. 2 Thumbs UP! :)

  • @CaRaGuaTaY1985 That is a good question, You will most likely need to find a ROM that is compatible with the fascinate. As this ROM is for the Vibrant only. Although, I would imagine rooting/flashing is the same. But since its through verizon, they may have tweaked the android UI themselves. SO I would do some research on it =] Good luck!

  • is this wipeout your contacts data in your phone?

  • what do you mean back to stock?? did u had a custom rom in it first??? or this applies to any condition of the phone??, i just got my phone today, so, i have to do this ODIN thing for me to be able to root it??

  • @gitmac53 If you have had a custom ROM on your device using odin is how to get completely back to stock. Or say if you have a bad flash and you "soft brick" your device. If you just got your phone, simply download the one click root application, root your device and then move onto part 2. Ill say it again, You do NOT have to use Odin in order to do this, that is only to go back from either a bad flash or a different rom. Good luck, Happy flashing!

  • by any chance do you know if this rom is works for captivate? its the same buttons and everything if im not mistaking

  • @Dani01c I don't believe so, Team Whiskey only makes roms for the Vibrant as far as I know.

  • thanks a lot man, ill be doing this to my friends vibrant since mine cant go either to recovery or download mode, ill guess ill stick with 2.1 untill i get myself a i9000 which is from the company im on (Claro) or either a captivate which are the only ones that run 3G on my company... the sad thing is that most of the SGS cant be unlucked now, so i have to look for one that is unlocked plus is not a briced version as mine :(

  • @Dani01c No problem, Hope this helps you or your buddy out. Hmm you cant get your phone into download mode with the method I showed?

  • @codysteele88 nope, always tried button methods to try download or recovery mode and never worked on mine, but every other SGS ive installed OCLF has worked... apparently i had bad enough luck to find a factory bricked SGS :(

  • Great job on these vids. Very detailed. You should post these on XDA forums also.

  • @ssbowtie1 Thanks very much! I made all the music real quick too, That was fun! Im open to requests for videos if you or anyone has any. Enjoy!! Happy Flashing

  • @ssbowtie1 I went ahead and posted links to these vids on the XDA forum, inside the Vibrant Q&A forum
