Pretty hard to get this out in the west. They're using songs from a buncha artists, which is a lot of copyright stuffs they need to go through if they want to bring it over the sea. (The song used in this trailer, for example, is ストロボナイツ by the famous kz, of livetune.)

Well, there's no need for it to come out in the west since the original's obviously already got the copyrighting handled. PSPs aren't region-locked, even if you buy it in America or Canada or wherever, it'll be able to play any games ever made for the PSP. From the same region as the PSP's purchase or not. I'm gonna get a PSP solely for this game and Higurashi Outbreak.

For people who can understand Japanese, of course it doesn't really matter much, but for western users, they'd want the game being localized because of the language barrier. And for that, the copyright thing's gonna come into play, and it'd be some messy crap all together, with this is a Piapro collaboration and whatnot.

Well, it doesn't matter that much if someone makes a page on a forum somewhere telling giving us a translation on the directions and the basic navigation of the menu. Then we could just do a search for "Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA- (Whatever you're looking for a translation of in the game) English translation" and the page'll come right up. The thing about this kinda stuff is that everything just makes itself convenient. The only thing you have to do is wait.

I don't know, translations like that are usually only limited to menu/game navigation and rarely goes into translating the story. =X Who knows though, maybe someone hardcore enough will come up with a translation guide/patch.

Yeah, usually when someone translates some, they do the whole thing. But as per story, I doubt there will be much since it's just a game about a singing idol. I'm thinking there'll really only be something along the lines of a program user issuing a certain song or type of song. But they managed to give each manga book a different story, and a bizarre one in a few, so they may come up with some story for the game.

There's gonna be a talk show between the 中の人 for Miku and Rin/Len in TGS '08, hopefully they'll show some more stuffs for the game then.
