  • i'll never watch your video again! thanx for the shit commercial!

  • @BADSYNE i don't know what your problem is. i have nothing to do with the commercials shown on this page and i certainly don't make any money of it!

  • His amazing skill and soul is epitomised by the fact there is not a single dislike.

  • I swear this could be the first rock n roll song ever composed. This is rock n roll.

  • ...god loves ragtime...

...and kurt cobain was doing right when he accredited his success to leadbelly

  • That's right, two versions - the other's instrumental. I had 'em both on an album, too.

  • I really love this - it's so frantic, dance yo'ass off! - I like the way he 'trips' cos it's so fast - but doesn't lose the rhythm.

  • There is another version that is strictly instrumental. I heard both songs on an old retrospective LP that I checked out of the library 20 years ago. Is the instrumental version available?

  • i just bought the 78 of this yesterday great song

  • thanks for the info....crazy but i am glad you know yr stuff cuz i love lead belly and so i am happy to know he is playing as well as singing .....thanks for posting...i live in a town called eagle rock and so i have a special place in my heart for this:)

  • how is this leadbelly?

i never heard him play piano

  • He also played accordion.

I'll look if I can find some more pieces where he plays piano.

  • so this is him playing?

where did you get this? what is it called? cuz he usually sings and this sounds like some rag

  • I think so. I got it from a cd-collection called "nothing but the blues". there were about 20 leadbelly songs on it but this is the only one where he played piano.

  • There's another song with him on piano that's a lot like this song. It's called "Big Fat Woman". It can be found on "The Best of Leadbelly" (2003) and various other albums. "Big Fat Woman" and this one feature similar singing and the same sort of "stride" style of playing.

  • @soadfe look for the song "big fat woman" its great and basically the same as this song without sounding rushed.

  • @soadfe He also played piano, mandolin, harmonica, violin, concertina, and accordion. Talented man.

  • That's one thing, you've heard him sing before, right?

  • yor message came to me and im not sure if you were talking to me yes i have heard him sing lol

  • well then you know it's him.

  • great song!
