I wouldn't recommend buying a 600 for a first bike!! they are extremely fast and can kill you!!! A 600 is can do 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds and have a top speed of about 155-160!! This isn't something you want to learn on!
My first bike was a 06 gsxr 600, I had some decent seat time on dirt bikes. Don't ride stupid and you can start on a 600, a 750-1000 isn't a good idea though. This is the bike I want next! If you haven't already you should get a different exhaust in that bad boy.

@antonyM2007 both the 600 and 750 are great bikes. It depends on what you want. The two bikes are 90% the same bike. Same frame same motor just bored and stroked. All the guts and suspension are the same. So you are going to get a little better acceleration and top end on the 750 but are you really going to push it that hard to notice the difference. I got a 750 as my first bike and I have never looked back.
I have a 08 Gixxer 750 too. The mode select switch does not change the class of the bike. It only leans the fuel air mixture with three selectable maps that are pre-installed from the factory. With a leaner fuel mixture it just makes the bike sluggish from the throttle input. Not busting on you bro just hear a lot of people on youtube saying it changes the class of bike. The bike is the same the power is still there just sluggish in mode C and B.

Love the video and your honest, no bullshit commentary. Regarding your ignition key, you'll probably find that the bars aren't on full left lock. When it happens, turn them to the right slightly and then back, full left lock that may solve it. I have the same problem with my Kawasaki ER-6F occasionally (that I'm hopefully going to swap for an 09 GSXR750).

I was always looking into a cruiser for my first bike. I never liked sport bikes at all. I think it was something to do with a couple of guys i knew who had them and rode together. They really let the side down.
But after watching Steelhorseclub's vids I started liking all the sport bikes a lot more (same thing he was thinking) and now i really do want one now. and after seeing the Gixxer's that Relic/Ashf00t has, now i know i want one of those :)
Nice price you got on it too! And don't worry about the throttle response jumping, you'll get use to it really fast. I think it took me about a month to get it down and now I roll out of stops smoothly.
Took me 3-4 weeks to get used to it. I fixed the problem by just grabbing more of the throttle and pulling slowly. I will make a video about it when I Get my helmet cam.

Yeah man I got real luck, I was able to talk the lady down from 8,400. To get a 2008 750 for 7,700 plus a 5 year warranty is epic, I thank god every day lol.
The bike is great man!!!!!!!!! Man I am meeting sooooooooo many people just riding the thing. If I had a quarter for everytime someone said I like your bike, I would be banking. The power is great and shocking at times. It is a great starter bike for the mature person.

Yeah man I got real luck, I was able to talk the lady down from 8,400. To get a 2008 750 for 7,700 plus a 5 year warranty is epic, I thank god every day lol.

The bike is great man!!!!!!!!! Man I am meeting sooooooooo many people just riding the thing. If I had a quarter for everytime someone said I like your bike, I would be banking. The power is great and shocking at times. It is a great starter bike for the mature person.
