ive got the fender version in black, im gonna put a black pickguard on it and paint a white racing stripe on it like the one tom used on the pop disaster tour. any suggestions on how to paint it? i was thinking go to an auto body shop? thanks
@XxiBlenkSixX well when Tom left fender for gibson, it was their best selling guitar ever. so squier made a guitar called the Squier Bullet (way different then the bullets that are made now) it had the same basic stuff as Toms. 1 humbucker, 1 volume know. but the humbucker was just a normal one so it didnt look like an invader. the the knob is a strat knob instead of a chrome knob. and you string through the bridge, not that back. i put an invader in my bullet and it sounds like toms now.

@iloveluigi do you play guitar? the squier comes with a duncan stylized squier pickup, it sounds like a typical squier. a Seymour Duncan Invader has a certian way of working...its called picking up different sounds. it sounds mean, and punky. Pickups are the biggest part of an Electric guitar..you should know that.
i have the surfgreen 1, my brothrt got it 4 xmas wen he was 16 in 2002. he gave it 2 me last year, and after having him play it for about 3 years the frets wore away, so i have just bought a fender CBS neck and a white seymour duncan invader at my own expence, AMAZING!!!! the detnator sounds great but sometimes you get shocking feedback when your in a room with a drumkit and 2 quad amps.
