  • this is awesome , i am a newb and went on my first gatecamp last night , we only killed 1 guy but it was alot of fun and got out without any losses :p

  • @TheVidviewer I honestly don't know how hard it is now; when I played the learning curve was very steep (Google image search "eve learning curve" for an accurate depiction)

@RABIDD0GMA It is a vagabond, the "short range" Minmatar heavy assault cruiser.

  • Is E.V.E. hard to play? Im thinking if trying it so I want to know if its hard or not,

  • how do you get the distance grid to show up like that?

  • @DiamondChrome42 Next to your capacitor, the button that says tactical overlay or something close to that.

Also, what is the ship the main person is flying? I cannot for my life tell what that is.

  • When a player leaves eve to go play world of warcraft the IQ of both games go up

  • noobs

  • it would be nice to see the nice Booms and stuff not so far away. but the work set up was good for getting those ships. fly safe 07

  • btw, eve is alright, but when people vid it, they make it suck, they zoom all the way out where u can't see the action, plus there be fights with like thousands of players at once and u can't even really see whats happening, small battles in different areas would be more fun when going to war with another clan

  • @aragrox lol dont worry :) ima get fraps soon and will only soom out if im trying to show something large lol

  • FFS.. When you heard "I need a point on that tempest" You should've overheat mwd and burn straight for the DAMN Tempest. COMMITMENT dude, COMMITMENT!

  • Lamest troll attempt of the week. User blocked from future efforts.

  • I'd kick your ass in eve, Halo and COD 2, 4 & 5. ;)

  • i kick your ass in COD 3 then?

  • Don't have it

  • enjoyed the video!

  • oh god i hate goons. My corp mate and i poped one. i was in a blackbird doin about 12 DPS, and my friend was in a merlin tanking doin about 40 DPS

  • I don't play this game and I already hate goonfleet :P

What a bunch of assholes. I have a dream of establishing a corp with sole purpose of wiping them out :D

  • Heh, good luck. Their just a bunch of guys acting like assholes, but their playing the game to have fun. I don't like them, but their far more likeable than band of brothers was. (I guess KenZoku now... or did they just disband entirely)

  • I believe even Kenzoku disbanded. I think that BoB is now back with name of IT Alliance and they fight Goonswarm and Pandemic Legion. Well, neither of them are good ones. Give one so much "power" and people will go astray with their common sense :P

  • If you want I could send you a 21 day trial? Just send me a message if you want one. I have 5 left.

  • thats the dream of about 5 thousand people

    however i have no opinion

  • Well from my view, EvE is filled with 'assholes', but only if you don't get to know them. The goonfleet being 'assholes' tends to put BoB in a good light, but BoB was a greedy, megahuge war machine bent on destroying and capturing as much in 0.0 as possible. However, most of these people are nice if you get to know them, at the end of it all most of them are playing to have fun, and EvE politics is always fun to see. The game tends to have a 'serious' politics side and a 'fun' side.

  • I've known and heard of plenty of 'evil' pirates who, after opening comms with them, are very friendly and even turn around and teach people valuable lessons in PvP and defense skills. Some people pirate for fun, and if asked will gladly pay damages. Several people see all pirates as 'assholes' and this is the reason 'carebears' are given a bad light, because of the minority who get ragey at someone who's just trying to have fun, when they blow up their miner/hauler.

  • @SikGamer70 Yea man I few days back I was killed by a guy who afterwords opened a conversation with me after seeing that I was new and that my fit was bad. I had only spend like 500k on my ship but he gave me 10m just to be nice. EVE isn't full of assholes.

  • @SuperMaajka

    They're dead.

  • what was he in? an escape pod?

  • If your not careful you can lose everything

  • Best game by far, but one flaw, it's quite expensive.

  • Well, I think it's quite cheap actually. Especially as you can play for free if you make 300m a month to spend on time codes. I don't play enough to make that, but subscription is cheaper if you buy in longer amounts. Also the expansion packs are frequent and free..

  • The client and all expansions are free, and it costs $14.95 a month.

That's cheaper than any P2P MMO out there.

  • quite expensive? You can play with ingame money, that makes it cheaper than any other MMO.

  • best game by far and I don't pay anything plus I even do own 3 accounts :P Nothing's easier than doing trades a couple of days to get the iskies, takes me like 10/hours to get the 900m for 3 plexes so not really expensive at all!

  • eve is like real life. wow is... for losers

  • horrid target calling....surprised you won

  • The problem and advantage of EVE is it is not like any other MMO you have ever played. This is not WoW or Lotro or Warhammer or Everquest.

This is not a flight sim like Wingcommander or X-wing. However, you can do allot with the right fleet, group or gang

Lastly, death and pvp is more hardcore than other games. If you ever played Lineage 2 and thought that was hardcore. Wait till you play EvE and die in here. Unprepared people can lose stuff than can take years to replace - if ever.

  • That's what makes the kiddies go back to WoW and all other games like that. It's great.

  • @PiercedAnonymous exactly. this is what I like about EVE, the Halo/WoW kiddies that can't read or follow complex instructions fail and leave, in WoW if you die, you have little repair bill, all your gear you never lose, EVE on the other hand is more true to life, lose a ship it is gone, the chat in EVE is proof of a more educated mature crowd, not without its dim wits but certainly a higher bar has been set, also you can target your own teammates by mistake, WoW?.... no chance, making it dumb.

  • @904RoadReview i don't think chat in eve is much of a mature crowd all around D:

  • damn I can't make heads or tails of this game but i've always wanted to try it.

  • Well do it, they have a free 21 day trial on steam or 14 day from their website. [Kinda addictive though so careful]

  • nice work, fleet tempest got schooled,

  • Like Clockwork, geez, that was nice.

  • fck the game must be very boring? its looks very slow pace game lol... but u know what im going to try it out because the secnery look so beautiful ^^

  • Eve can be horribly boring, but it can also be kinda exciting. The combat may seem slow paced in this video, but it feels a bit more frantic when you're actually playing. And you get a bit of excitement from knowing that if you lose, your ship and all the effort you put into it is gone forever.

  • Eve has its ups and downs, its a very opened game and it relies on you to make decisions and some people struggle with the openness and cannot find the enjoyment. Yea, i agree 1v1 fights look terribly boring from the outside. To anyone involved though it is much more hectic. If you'd like to know more you can message me here at youtube and if you'd like help ingame send your character name to me and I'll chat with you ingame.

  • You're probably just whining cuz they had the sound muted.

  • @Phounk DUDE THEY HAVE BACED IT AROUND U HAVE TO DO UR OWN THING NO GAME GENERATER EVERYTHING IS USER BASE EVEN THE SHIPS YOU BUY ARE BEING SOLD TO U BY A USER

and the way the ships move around is intersesting BUT try to join a fleet for large fleet engagements and the such... when ur playing with friends its and entire differnt expeirance

  • @Phounk this is what i thought... i now scan down hacking sites fly out the hack mainframes and loot radar net works

  • Name your secondary and tertiary whilst ur still cloaked :p

  • nicely done.

  • You haven't even fucking bothered to try the game so your opinion = invalid.

  • I am sorry to report that your comment shows your inability to comprehend this game.

But that is only fortunate, as your career as a pod pilot would'nt be pretty, due to the lack of your capacity.

  • He's just raging cuz he was a carebear hype that thought he could mine in 0.0

  • Yeah, I'm just about a year old and about to jump in a carrier (no shit)...I'm also my corps FC and I believe everyone is useful from day 1.

  • Beautiful game.. and so much content..

Too bad this game is only for people who have played it for 2 years.. without the skills that evolve through time, you are useless in PvP... everywhere in this game is PvP area... so unless you hide in High Security space... you will get killed.. and each time you loose a ship.. you have to earn for a new one.

  • I disagree that you're only useful after 2 years. I've just now hit 2 years old, and I've been useful in pvp from about day 5 or 6. Once you can use a microwarp drive (2 days training max) and a warp scrambler (3-4 hours max) you are pvp capable.

And yes, there are pvp consequences. If your ship blows up, its gone forever. Its part of why eve is exciting to play rather than just a pretty front end to what amounts to a giant spreadsheet.

  • I'm no where near 2 years old and i'm flyin a nano ishtar in pvp. Before that it was a nano vexor, which did almost as well. Of course an older character will have an advantage, but its never overwhelmingly hard to kill an old player.

  • i've been playing it for 4 weeks now and i have a good understanding on how the game goes i have a cruser and 2 mill im hoping to get subscribed do i can get an industrial

  • I run two accounts, and to be honest, with a Vaga and a Falcon, like i fly, with the right fittings you are pretty much garaunteed to live.

btw both my characters are 2007 characters on made in september, the other in december

  • Yeah, Eve is great for what it is intended for - you can do what you want and achieve at it.

I'm 4.5 months in, and have been finishing all my rank one skills....and in about a month or two I'll be well set for quite a long time.

  • Nonsense. In my corp we have weekold toons tackling very effectively. Much more training is needed to take on another role than tackler tho.... I have played Eve-Online for 2,5 years, got 44m skillpoints, buy i still love to fly the pvpships i started out with; tacklers.

  • Awesome, so you train about 3300sp per hour? Not sure why you insist on lying about your sp. Fuck off and die.

  • nice.

  • critisism:

    L2f1 - f6.

FC needed to be calling targets faster and more often.

unless you're in a BS or speed tanking fighters, remote armor rep bots aren't going to keep some-one alive while you kill the fighters.

i'd like to know what ships where on who's side.

  • I tried to reply to this a month ago but youtube was having issues accepting my reply.

The FC was probably in a drake. Also, as best as I can tell (this was pre-api so we can't automatically post all lossmails) we lost nothing larger than a thorax. I think we lost 2-3 frigates and the thorax.
