In that town there was one black family and one Hispanic family and he played with their kids same as everybody else. He took a college class in the 90s on racial awareness and one of the review questions for the class was What have you learned. He put that he learned that some of his best friends growing up were different.

This friend of mine's point was that he never thought of his best friends as different, and still doesn't. @mcfrandy Crime for any group of people is a very small percentage of the population & no distinct region is known for crime, its everywhere so that claim is out. For ppl to use affirmative action they have to meet the standards, if the company requires a technical degree & you have it, you meet the standard. When ppl hire they usually hire ppl that look like them, & you see biases get in the way making it unfair. White ppl can use affirmative action too if they wanted & some do.

A little history lesson, one of the stipulations that the Northern shipping companies had when they purchased these slaves and then brought them to the US and Britian for resale was that they not have any body deformities like cut off limbs and the such. @diyonisha I knew a guy that lived in a small town that had a population of about 600 people when he was growing up in the 30s and 40s. In that town there was one black family and one Hispanic family and he played with their kids same as everybody else. He took a college class in the 90s on racial awareness and one of the review questions for the class was What have you learned. He put that he learned that some of his best friends growing up were different.

This friend of mine's point was that he never thought of his best friends as different, and still doesn't. Yet in college, where it is supposed to not be racist, they have a class pointing out the different skin color but then they say to act like its nothing when they are the ones pointing it out in the first place.

If you're Scottish then yes go there & get the apology, Britain still has making up to do for the Scottish. Affirmative Action states the person has to be qualified, if they have the degree for the job they meet the standards pretty much. The person cannot walk in there with no degree & expect to be hired.

@Bronzecop For your information it was only a few percent of the poppulation who owned slaves.... And of that small percentage some where black themselves. (Yes I happen to have ancestors who owned slaves over 150 years ago). But the vast magority of white people in the U.S JUST DIDN'T!
It's not like I feel deppressed when I learn about my family history... infact it's exciting for me to learn about the hardships my ancestors went through.... Why not for you?

@mcfrandy Crime for any group of people is a very small percentage of the population & no distinct region is known for crime, its everywhere so that claim is out. For ppl to use affirmative action they have to meet the standards, if the company requires a technical degree & you have it, you meet the standard. When ppl hire they usually hire ppl that look like them, & you see biases get in the way making it unfair. White ppl can use affirmative action too if they wanted & some do.

Of course crime for minorities is reported higher when law enforcement is mainly white. You know how many white ppl get away with murder by their skin color & they're killing their own kind half the time. & did you know white ppl have been sueing Upper-Class white colleges that deny them entry because of their social class?

(infact it's substacaly higher than any race minoraty or not). You can just look it up on the internet... maybe do a search for: crime rate race. @Bronzecop Yea it's higher where corperate crime is concerned (probly becaouse there are alot more wealthy white people than black people). but overal the crime rate is quit a bit higher for blacks. Oh I think you'll find they prosicute just as fiersly white people who are charged with muderer as they prosocute black people.
Yea ok I don't have many good things to say about police all grant you that... but I think there just as likely to arrest a white persone for murder as a black persone!

@mcfrandy You make all these claims, but my social problems book states otherwise. Crime for whites in general is higher above all minorities, whites get a break because of the race card. Minorities get arrested more because they are profiled more, where whites are profiled less; thus making it easier for them to get away with crime.

A social problems book covers the problems in society including poverty, stress, illness, teen pregnancy & the list goes on. I know what profiling is, being categorized into a group other words being stigmatized & stalked to the point where it becomes a an invasion of privacy.

@mcfrandy Thats just you not the system, you'll be surprised on what you learn that slips by. The FBI hated blacks, they made a plan to ruin the futures of young men. Their plan was pinned down to early as elementary schools. Fortunately, this was stopped when civil rights came around but their plan still remains in some areas in the U.S. & of course the FBI is going to overblow black crime because of this & ignore everything else.

This is why minorities hate ppl like you, you keep the process going with what you believe is right, but in reality its not. You can repeat yourself all you want, but the percentage of crime commited is done by whites and they get away with it more because its not portrayed as much. The blood of you ancestors live through you, so its a part of your history.

When someone refuses to do right they have to be forced, if the companies didnt refuse they wouldnt have to be forced.

@Bronzecop Listen say there having interviews for a job at and advertising firm and ten people try out: only about one in every 30 Americans is black, So the chances are 2 to 1 that not one of those people will be black. In sertain geographicle areas there are higher and lower percentages of minoritys, so in some places only one in every 50 are black. (And there are also areas where only... maybe 1 out of 50 is white).

So if theres a job that you have (or a place where there just not going to hire you without a degree). So say they want to hire an aterny... it's going to be pretty hard to find a black aterny.
And when they do find a black aterny what if hes not as good an aterny as this white one over here?

After the civil war civil rights was fully instated, but that didnt mean the angry hate groups died down; they just couldnt go around killing minoritied & calling them offensive names in public. The KKK, Neo-Nazi's, Neo-Conservatives they all fall under those categories, but every group has some random name. Everyone remembers the aryan brotherhood.
