Word of Advice: If you just have to really know what it's like to fly a Dragon, have some PcP and launch yourself off of a skyscraper. I Guarantee that in the last 10-15 seconds of your life...you'll have better Control in the Air than you would in Lair!

I really think the reason this game "failed" so badly was becuase of its hype. Hype kills. The iPhone was hyped, and people found many flaws. If things are meant to better than they are, people won't complain about the actual product.
Case in point:
Metriod prime three, very little hype: great game and storyline. Its nice to see a good FPS on the Wii.

Award? Lair is a better graphical accomplishment than Gears, and a wide variety of gameplay. It's got streaming textures and progressive mesh on a much larger scale than Gears does. The only reason ports have looked bad on PS3 is because devs have been lazy. Bethesda wasn't lazy. They took the time to do it right. That doesn't change the fact that oblivion's textures still look like crap, even on the PC.
Actually, I said "Lair is a better graphical achievement than gears" because it is so much bigger.. Gears is a bit more detailed in its, but that's because of the small scale. On lair, you have enemies that are a mile long, a lot more enemies, larger enemies than on gears, much larger environments... Ever played Shadow of the Colossus? Think that, with a lot more enemies. The fact it pulls off such detailed textures being so big is quite a feat.
I don't get it, it states it's in game footage but there's only ever been that one video released.
The clips of the dragons with the camera being rotated and showing the controls is a video, it's the exact same movements on all the videos I've seen everywhere.
So if it's being rendered in real time, why do they showcase videos of it? why not have demos being played on the PS3 itself?
Halo is the biggest ripoff of stolen Ideas, ever. You got the Quake/Doom lookin guy as Spartan, The Sarge and Space Marines from Alien, the enemy looks like an alien with a predator mouth, they can vanish like the predator, and they fight like Klingons. The Halo planet was also stoled from Larry Niven's Ringworld.

The reason why Lair doesn't look like this in new stuff is because on this video, there is only 2 character models to focus on, meaning you can use more power on the character models. When you have hundreds of soldiers, over 30 dragons, and all of the scenery going at once, the models will be downgraded. The cool thing is, they said that they will have THIS in the game as an extra so you can look at the models in real time. Can't wait to see that.
