  • where can i s ee the full episode

  • The song is clarinet polka

  • YOU EDITED OUt some good momemts when lucy says wonderful wonderful behind welk and the dummy--

  • Wow, Vivian doesn't look that much different from I Love Lucy....Lucy changed...well to me, but her voice is still the same. The same goes for Vivian.

  • my favorite episode....Notice you hear Gary Morton laughing off camera.

  • Arent those Lucy's real children? The young kid looks just like Desi Arnaz.

  • They are her real children.

  • what show is this?

  • Here's Lucy season 2

  • is that after she did i love lucy i think it is she looks older or when she was doing i love lucy

  • I love Viv and Mary Jane Croft.

  • which lawrence welk song is being played on this video?

  • Neat! I didn't know Lawrence Welk did appearances like this! His voice is a little shreaky here!

  • waht year was this

  • This episode was first aired in 1970

  • Vivian Vance and Lucille Ball together are awesome! Thx for posting! Great scene!

  • ogh my god sooo funnny viv and lucy are soo good together butt love viv... great clip.

  • This is a great clip. However has anyone noticed that the cameraman has messed up a few shots? I am sure it was very hard for Lucy to begin controlling everything after Desi had done the technical aspects of everything on I Love Lucy.

  • I don't think your comment is accurate. This looks like the typical three camera show, just with a lack of rehearsal for some reason...but not because of Desi's absence.

  • The success of the Lucy shows was due to a wonderful team on both sides of the camera. Even though Vivian Vance was supposed to take a back seat to Lucille Ball, she was able to step out as a first rate comedienne when necessary.

  • Dear Steve, I agree with your comments. It was so good to see Viv shine in this episode. Next year (2009) is the centennial of her birth and all of her admirers should call for some kind of national remembrance, maybe including her picture on a US postage stamp!Thank you.

  • Good idea, but they probably won't do it for her. But they should. She was a treasure.

  • Dear Rick, I have been in touch with the Lucy-Desi Museum officials in New York and they have been very supportive of my idea. We are in the process of trying to get the assistance of Lucie Arnaz in our campaign. She was very close to her "Aunt Viv". Wish us luck......

  • Yes, I wish you luck. I loved Vivian, and I could tell by the chemistry on screen that Lucie and Desi Jr. loved her too. Viv sure deserves all the accolades she can get.

  • Whom shall I contact? I loved Vivian Vance and I think her centennial birthday should be commenorated on a postage stamp.

  • Vivian could always make an even weak episode of "the lucy show" or "here's lucy" stand out...wish she had done more. If she had been alive when Lucille Ball did "life with lucy" they may just have been able to pul it off, more like "the golden girls"..but helas...

  • viv and lucy rock da world!

  • I LOVE VIVIAN

  • I love how Vivian screams after she puts her glasses on!

  • @regency98us Judging by Lucy's reaction to the scream, it was not in the script. Ha, ha!
