This was a great idea and very cool to see.Too bad about the condition but it really doesnt matter. I get a kick out of all the "monday morning quarterbacks" say how they should have buried this way or that way etc. They did the best they could in 57. still a car there and maybe it can be brought back. That would be pretty cool.

We're not hicks, nor are we morons. I really wish people would get over that stereotype already! And besides, back in '57, people in general were MUCH more optimistic than they are today. The burial of the car set a precedent, and they used their best technology at that time to try to preserve and protect the car. The people that made the protective coverings weren't even from Oklahoma, if it matters. ::sigh::
