  • Squirrels are just rats with puffy tails. I like to pop them with a pellet gun as well. I'll have to look into one of these shock feeders. I finally saved my suet cakes by using a horizontal feeder so the starlings can't devour it in one day.

  • Wow, a Squirrel-go-round !

  • why would you put food for birds to come and get it, but you dont want squirrels to get it?. whats the diference o.O

  • @STERENR The difference is squirrels are vermin and don't need help finding food and surviving. Birds eat incredible amounts of insects during warm months but need supplementation for the winter. They also eat bugs in the winter like eggs and larvae, though it isn't enough to rely on for full sustenance. Birds face many threats to their existence, like man-made structures and outdoor house cats. They need all the help they can get. On the other hand, squirrels survive on garbage.

  • but my squirrels learned going on it = birdseed sprays everywere = food = bury it in lawn = pissing off man who has terrible aim with his damn BB gun >_<

  • "So what if a fat bird comes around?" Hmmmm just think about that a little bit...

    =)

  • @ItDoesBreak Thats ok. It has a protection feature called "fat birds don't survive" that comes free with purchase!

  • pretty neat

  • am i a bad person if i laughed histericly at this >XD

  • great but how do i keep the birds off my squirrel feeder?

  • squirrels fuck up the life cycle

  • Can you like help me, squirrel keep eating bird feeder, my dad bought the squirrel proof 1, but it shewed up the plastic and left it with big hole...i dont have a gun so...

  • I guess you could always get a squirrel feeder too.

  • most demented posts ive seen in a while. lol

  • there are easier/cheaper ways.......

  • the squirrel was still getting food from the feeder

  • @flexin007 so was I! lol.

  • @flexin007 Bald eagles which live along the coast and on major lakes and rivers feed mainly on fish.

  • if battery is dead it failed!!!!!!!

  • @scotlandloose then don't buy one...

  • For all you idiots that say why do this

Watever it's your money you spend on bird feed, and squirrels empty that sucker in a few days

  • use 7000 volt!!!

  • Pop a V8 on that baby and watch them fly!

  • Omg, what a prejudice beasts people are. Why would you want a bird only feeder? I hate people.

  • A million volt power wire worlks betterer

  • ROFL that's amazing

  • weeeeeeeee!!!

  • that doesnt look harmless

  • If i were a squirrel i would hang on for the free ride.

  • Would be better with 150W 3krpm motor :-)

  • LOL

  • Now that's cute lol and much better than using electrocution which is cruel

  • U asses, what do you have against poor little squirrels !!!????

  • thats awful.

  • your a suck fucking monster.

  • @littleturkey17 im actualy a bloodthirsty gruesome monster that lives in dark damp areas of shopping malls and lures lost children ito such remote places so that i can swallow them alive without anyone noticing what happened.

  • Comment removed

  • a 17 hmr is as good or better at stopping squirrels in the yard..

  • why cat they eat the seeds aswell? they have to live too.

  • Because 1 squirrel will clean out an entire bird feeder in about 10 minutes.

  • save some money...give your kid a pellet gun

  • i bet some were thinking"oh crap oh crap what the f**** is goin on??????"

  • cool, but im sure the squirrels will find a way to beat it

  • lol, kinda cute, but i like squirrels on my bird feeder, but i like the cuteness of them getting flipped off more

  • I love to flip off squirrels!

  • XD lol

  • That's pretty neat, although I don't really mind squirrels stealing bird food.

  • That is so cool! I wish I would have invented something great like that!

  • The squirrel is probably thinking "FUCK!!! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??"

  • or u could like electrify a metal pole and put ur feeder on dat (more fun ta watch)

  • I habve a better method

... put a few bullet holes in em lol

  • birds are tight squirrels are wack

  • Squirrel still gets to grab a little at a time and will keep coming back. Need something better than this...

  • haha grenade bird feeder

  • im gonna make a bird feeder and on top of that feeder will be a grenade. when the squirrel jumps on, the feeder falls and pulls the pin to the grenade. then let the lawls ensue.

  • sweet

  • Hust grease the pole with crisco and oil. The squirrels won't even make it to your feeder.

  • I want one! I've had to avoid any type of birdfeeders this year due to squirrels and hornets.

  • wonder if they get dizzy?

  • a pellet gun works better

  • @ckyguy5 LOL!!!

  • @ckyguy5 and allot!!! funner!! :) or at the house i live in now. i use a 22. that way i kill it and can thin eat it some time. :)

  • @ckyguy5 a paintball gun would be much more fun :)

  • Yup, go to smarthomeusa and type this in the search box:

    SQRTSCTR-001

That is the shock treatment version of this. It is not as visually appealing when working tho, so you wont find many youtube videos of it.

  • best fucking invention ever ..

  • @TheNilvarg Oh thats not a bad idea. Unfortunately that carries an animal cruelity offense and could come with a fine or jail.

  • Cunning idea! weight of rodent uncoils twisted elastic combo, or screw with return spring, like idea cheers

  • it is electric

  • Battery powered, to be more specific

  • or you can just kill the squirrels.

  • Yeah, for a whopping 2 cents a piece you can feed them some 22 LR and permanently fix the problem!

  • or get a ruger 10/22 with a 30 round mag

  • wouldnt it be alot more fun to equip that thing with a 1hp motor and spin it at more like 200rpm? Everyone thinks flying squirrels are cool.

  • hahah. best comment in a while. Thanks~!

  • been there done that...

  • @vblogrsRLzrs Get an Rc car brushless motor. I have one that spins 60k rpms >:)

  • Squirrels are determined. If they keep making the feeder spin, how are the birds supposed to eat at all?

  • weight of the birds are too light to make it spin so it stays still......HEAVIER weight of the squirrel makes it spin so they get off.

  • very good idea!!

  • I'd just be happy with squirrels on my bird feeder lol, they're cute. :3

  • i noticed you said you WOULD be happy with them. That means you haven't had them right? If so .. trust me, they 1) eat all your bird food in a matter of hours. 2) Scare the innocent birds away! and 3) make a mess!!

  • lmao. your birds dont take shit.

    XD that hillarious.

  • well i dont need anything like that

my birds around my feeder dont take shit from squirls

one time a squirl got on top of the feeder and a was fighting the birds off

then a blue bird slammed his ass right off it was sweet

moral of the story dont mess with blue birds

  • If you want to stop squirrels from getting on your bird feeder, use a metal pole, hang your bird feeder from it, then hook a 220 volt extension cord to the top of the pole. Put your bird feeder on the pole, then plug it in. Keeps em out of your bird feed, and fun to watch fuzzy annoying squirrels get whats been coming for them. Also a great source for BBQ squirrel meat if you are into small game. Pre cooked from the 220 volt wire ROFL

  • Omg, thats awesome.

  • Electrocuting squirrels? How bizarre! It's easier to put a squirrel baffle on the pole, which prevents the squirrels from climbing up. Like the birds, they are simply hungry. better hope your friends don't see your solution. One of them might wire your refrigerator door so you can't sneak any food--

  • it needs to spin faster lol as you can see the squirrel is still getting some seeds

  • Save yourselves some money; Hang your feeder high enough so the squirrels can't jump up to it. And here's the kicker...liberaly smear vasoline on the pole. They won't bother your feeder. Just make sure they can't jump to feeder from grnd or other source such as roof or tree. Wipe off and re-apply every couple of months or so. Fun to watch them climb the 1st time.

  • I set up something similar: I hung my bird feeder with a fine plastic yarn, so it is weight-sensitive. So far, I have never seen a squirrel feeding off of it (I did see them crawling past it, and looking at it), which it's a good sign. But my plan B still depends on my marksmanship; if they get near, I would sting them with couple rounds of BBs and hopefully they would leave it alone and never come back again.

  • How much food is that thing kicking onto the ground?! It's a waste there if they don't get it and the cats don't get them! Get a Droll Yankee!

  • The bird feeders in the video dont suffer from seed throwing (as you can see), but some feeders will. If they have a lip that keeps the feed in they will be fine

  • thats what i said, this just looks like a CHEAPER knockoff of the droll yankee

  • What if its a fat bird?

  • they he would have to find a way to climb up the pole. Fat birds cant fly (and therefore, die)

  • b/c the squirrels attack and scare the birds. so we f*** with the squirrels back when the birds cant defend themselves. thats why we hate them.

  • lol twirl a squirrel

  • Something simpler, shoot them with a bb gun.

  • yea thats wahat i do

  • Cool device! A doberman in the yard guarding the feeders works well too!

  • Why is it so bad if squirrels eat the birdseed as well? They are wildlife too. Squirrels have to eat as well. Why the squirrel-hate?

  • because squirrels would eat everything and you have to fill it everyday and no bird would eat anything. it would basically be a squirrel feeder.

  • shut up and eat your lettuce wacko

  • 1 wurd. squrrel plague

  • My squirrels dont bother with it any more.. they just eat the dropped seeds on the ground :) But I like when they keep trying .... the thing starts spinning really fast if you have a brave squirrel on your hands haha

  • that will work for about a week, until the squirls get used to it. try to find a documetary called backyard bandits if you want to see what a squirel will go through to eat at a birdfeeder, I have seen very similar ideas get defeated within a week or two.

  • Yes, squirrels have the plague. Thats why they have to stay out of my birds food. Cuz, if the birds get it, its Avian influenza. Since we eat bird, we die. So enjoy flinging!!!

  • Yubamonkey is right. Angry squirrels have the plague. I read it in a book.

  • lol its a good system.

  • why do you hate squirrels? you eat bird right? but you don't eat squirrel, you should spin the bird and let it fall, and then eat it. you might hurt squirrel by flinging it to the ground. angry squirrel have plague.

  • I like it, great invention!

  • Nice system but the squirrels are more pussy than birds. and when a storm of birds (10-infinite birds) come, that rotate too?

    Interesting film

  • Haha no, it shouldn't. The squirrel stop senses the weight of your feeder when you first turn it on. When a bird lands, it senses a small change and doesnt turn on. If multiple birds land, it will notice small steps of weight change, and not turn on. BUT when a squirrel comes, there will be a huge change, and it will switch on. Of course, if 20+ birds land at the same exact time, they will probably be in for a surprise. But hey, no product is perfect ;)
