Aloha from Hawaii! Thank You for posting all of your informative videos. I too been looking for someone who can teach me all I need to know about Dehydrating. I haven't yet bought a dehydrator and all supplies needed. I didn't want to purchase anything until I could learn the basics. Thanks a bunch!
I've been looking for someone like this who can teach dehydrating. I've been working on it slowly for the past several months but I have no idea how to cook with what I've done so far. I also have fears of hyperinflation and learning to store food has calmed me down quite a bit. I hope more and more people make sites like this.
Thanks for the wonderful comments. I to like the lemonade video on the new site. It was a lot of fun, Steve and his friends always keep me laughing. Again Thanks, Tammy
Congratulations for the new website!!! Lots of informations, can't wait for the recipes section.
My dehydrator has been running 24h a day since the last 3 weeks :) I just received the Orved Eco Vacuum Pro, now i need to find a place that sells O2 Absorbers in Canada and I will be all set. You don't recommend cheap bags from Walmart (Foodsaver bags?) what type of bags are you using and where do you get them?
Okay, I just spent the better part of the night (it was sloooow at work) poking around the new site -- FABULOUS DAHLING! ha ha Hey, any tips or how-to's achieving "sun dried" tomatoes with our dehydrators? Thanks, Renee
I think dehydrated tomatoes taste as good as sundried just cut them in wedges or half small plum tomatoes. By the way the Lemonade video was dedicatied to you. Your garden in your videos looks great next year I plan on doing a lasagna garden. Talk to you soon. Tammy
On the new web site in the video section I made a step by step video on how to make the shelves. In the video I make the shelves myself so I can show others how easy they are to build ( and yes even women can do it). The blue prints will be in the recipe section that is currently under construction. Thanks for the comments and please subscribe to the new site and share with family and friends. It is a free information site. Tammy
Thank You Tammy! You info is so important. Hopefully the garden will keep producing so I'll get to use your info quite a lot. God Bless your new venture.
I am so excited about your website!!! I'm in complete agreement with you about what's coming. THANK YOU TAMMY for all the time and effort you have obviously put into educating us "out here". I can't express how grateful I am and what a blessing you are to so many people. BTW: I just made the most DELICIOUS yogurt in my dehydrator two days ago with my own milk and my own dehydrated strawberries. My girls LOVED it! What a feeling of satisfaction! Anyway, KUDOS to you 100x. : )
Hi seweratty, Befor going out and spending a lot on a new vacuum sealer i suggest checking the bags... what type are you buying? If you look in my helpful tips section on the site under "vacuum sealer and bags" this may help you... The bags should be 3 Mil in thickness...
No, you do not need a commercial vacuum sealer, unless you are doing high volume sealing. High volume sealing is when you are doing 25 or more packages a day. What you do need is a good quality vacuum bag. The quality of the bag is the most important part 3mil and up. I have packages that have been stored for years and they look like the minute I sealed them. Mylar bags are great to have too. Thanks for your uplifting comments. Tammy
