Its very easy to say "just talk to someone", or "don't commit suicide"You don't know the feeling until you've been in their shoes. Sometimes our youth feel that only death is the only option. Because of this Dan Savage, world renowned and openly gay columnist, has created a project on Youtube called "itgetsbetterproject". You can upload a video and tell your story and explain to some of the younger generation (and older gays who are still going through it) that it does get better.

0:29 - 0:55 was me for a long time. That hit me hard, I did end up dropping out. Im not gonna sit here and pretend that im perfect today because ive lost jobs due to managers coming at me sideways because of just me being who I am. Suicide is a PERMANENT SOLUTION ..to a TEMPORARY PROBLEM.
But in my perspective, I agree with everything you've said in this video, but you're on the outside looking in. Its very easy to say "just talk to someone", or "don't commit suicide"You don't know the feeling until you've been in their shoes. Sometimes our youth feel that only death is the only option. I'm speaking in reality, not what we think should happen in a "just world". But I commend you for extending that helping hand.

0:29 - 0:55 was me for a long time. That hit me hard, I did end up dropping out. Im not gonna sit here and pretend that im perfect today because ive lost jobs due to managers coming at me sideways because of just me being who I am. Theres still times where i feel like im back at that point but having someone to talk to really does make a difference.
