Hey I've got an Acer Aspire One too, but it has a 1.6 atom, Win 7, and a 945 intel chip. It just doesn't runs as smooth as yours... is it the chip, the windows or settigns? what should I do? help mee!

@iloveg25 It maybe because of you're using default OEM Windows XP installation which bundled with your netbook. It contains a module for forcing your cpu to run at 800MHz while on battery power. And underclocks the northbridge too. A clean install (of Windows 7) can solve your problem by disabling underclock while all your drivers installed and no feature loss.

@acharad I've got W7 Home Premium, and its suposed to auto install drivers right?, I installed W7 over the same partition that Windows XP was, so it would errase all of it? Sounds stupid, but I am using an 15 years old laptop, so the video it self is lagging. Can anybody tell me if the game runs without lags? There are no comments which say it works, and people also publish videos where games are shown which will not work, e.g Left4Dead.

The acer aspire one netbooks USUALLY come with 1gb ram and they have 2 ram slots built in.

THEY ARE USUALLY COMING WITH 2x512MB DDR2 cards, that means that if you want to upgrade your ram you have to buy AT LEAST 1gb of ram, because the two ram slots aren't free. that means if you buy 512mb card you will replace it for another 512mb card so you will get the same like before! :)

the graphic card is currently preinstalled as you buy the computer, anyway you can type in google "acer aspire one xp drivers" and there are a lot of pages where you can download the drivers for all the components.

cs source will work on this computer i tried it myself however i can't provide a video due to i just updated windows xp and it must be something wrong with it that steam source engine is now not working anymore, when tried to play it would report the "famous" error "La memoria no se puede "read"" which could mean "Memory can't be readed", if i can get back to life the steam source engine games i'll take a pair of videos so that you all can see em running on this small piece of diamond :)

hi! unfortunately i didn't found nba live 2k9 to try it myself but anyway i can assure it won't work on this notebook as it requires single 2,4 ghz processor as minimum requirement and this computer is running @ 1,6 ghz. sorry :(

it's not like windows, it's Windows XP. perhaps your acer has linux installed on it, if you want Windows to be installed on your acer you can just do it easily, i could provide you further information if required.
