Clean Scale and Prepare Fish for Cooking

I'm 14 years old but I love survival stuff I have a bug out bag it's really a outdoor fun bag lol but it's 5.11 anyway ive been watching how to do this so on Saturday I'm going to catch fish with my friend and were gonna do this thanks!

Is there a reason people don't scale the fish first? Thanks for the video.

@offlimits4wd The fish is very slimy and slippery and so the belly opening where the fish has been gutted provides a place to insert the fingers for a grip and helps to keep the fish from sliding forward so much. Good question.
